Concepts of The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
In The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, a set of rules, much like we consider the Ten Commandments to be, is established for what a “advanced country” would abide by. A few of these ideas to follow include abolition of all right to inheritance, a heavy progressive or graduated income tax, equal obligation of all to work, and combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries. The idea or rule that I believe is the most effective, productive, and extremely important is the idea of equal obligation of all to work. For a society to function, but most importantly prosper, this idea has to be established. The work of a few is what holds our country together today. It’s not the equal work of all. With that, how much farther along would our society advance? We cannot fathom how a society of this nature would develop, for history has never seen such a society. This, by far, is the most important idea derived from The Communist Manifesto.

As I believe strongly in the idea of equal work for all, I also believe strongly in a right to own, a right to work, in order to deserve this right to own. Ownership will develop a class society, and I think it should. I feel there is nothing wrong with a class system as long as it as developed on a work ethics principle. Educate yourself, in order to add more job options, in order to move up in the class system. My belief in a strong classification of wealth is based on the idea of getting what you deserve. The Communist Manifesto responded to the situation and created a vision of an equal communist society. The Communist Manifesto was defined by the abolishment of the bourgeois sovereign rule that followed a revolution against capitalism to create communism. This is because it allowed for the emergence of the powerful Bourgeoise, "In one word, for exploitation, veiled by religious and political illusions, naked, shameless, direct, brutal exploitation.” As Marx explained, the Bourgeois exploited the Proletariats through the means of the long hours the laborers had to endure to receive very low wages, which maximized Bourgeois profits.
Before expounding upon these ideas, it is necessary to establish a baseline from which to view these topics. It is important to realize that we as humans view everything from our own cultural perspective. Marx speaks of this saying, "Your very ideas are but the outgrowth of the conditions of your bourgeois production and bourgeois property, just as your jurisprudence is but the will of your class made into a law for all, a will, whose essential character and direction are determined by the economical conditions of existence of your class."
An interesting aspect in this debate is that the system or the society we live in is not at all simple in terms of its dynamics and history; it has been through numerous events which has ultimately carved the system to the level of sophistication it is at the moment. Criticism or acknowledgement is not a purpose in this paper, rather a critical analysis of communist manifesto and its implications on the current society. Branching from the socialist party, in 1848, extremist Karl Marx expressed his theories in The Communist Manifesto. This is a text that is still debated today. In an article in the Journal of Social Society, William Niemi wrote about Marx’s ideas still present today. “The rethinking about Karl Marx and Marxism continues some 20 years after the fall of the Soviet dictatorship and its satellites.” (Niemi). Marx believed that the class system was the main problem and should be demolished. He believed that everyone should be equal and should work together in order to create. In his thoughts in The Communist Manifesto, he tells of all the benefits due to the many changes that will be made in his classless society. Socially everyone will be looked upon as equal, and everyone will contribute to their society. Intellectually, the people will not be selfish and will all come together to combine their ideas. Politically things will be different since there will be no government. Also, religions will be abolished and there will be no higher beings. Economically, property will not be privately owned and everything will be shared by all. In this society, there are many problems and this seems like a great way to bring about change.

Freidrich Engels and Karl Marx exchanged letters and decide to meet Tuesday of November 24 and discussed the title of the book that they have been planning. This book is broken down to 4 parts; Bourgeois and Proletarians, Proletarians and Communists, Socialist and Communist Literature, and Position of the Communists in relation to the Various Existing Opposition Parties. The publication of the book gave Marx the proper name of prominent sociologist and theorist of politics. The purpose of the Communist Manifesto is to outline “Communist league”. What this book show is the ideal of Communism work and what part of political act count as communism. If the communist revolution as outlined by Marx/Engels were to be successful, it would have changed the lives of many and the experience of people in the pre-revolutionary era would differ from their experiences in the post-revolutionary era with regards to society, politics, and the economy.

The Communist Manifesto was published in 1848, a period of political turmoil in Europe. Its meaning in today’s capitalistic world is a very controversial issue. Some people, such as the American government, consider socialism taboo and thus disregard the manifesto. They believe that capitalism, and the world itself, has changed greatly from the one Marx was describing in the Manifesto and, therefore, that Marx’s ideas cannot be used to comprehend today’s economy. Others find that the Manifesto highlights issues that are still problematic today. Marx’s predicative notions in the Communist Manifesto are the key to understanding modern day capitalism.
Though the rewards are pleasing to the ear, the path to obtaining the benefits of communism is a violent one. This strict governing idea was derived from Communist Manifesto, a book written by two German economists, Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels, who declare that many problems in society are caused by the unequal distribution of wealth. These two believe that “Communism deprives no man of the ability to appropriate the fruits of his labour. The only thing it deprives him of is the ability to enslave others by means of such appropriations.” To achieve the goal of happiness and prosperity for all, the lines that distinguish the differences between the rich and poor must be erased. Obviously, the rich will never voluntarily give up their goods or status; therefore the figureheads must force equality among the citizens. Communism places their citizens, whether they be the wealthy or the laborers, into working classes that specify their contribution to the government. With such balanced placement of the people, individuality is impossible for any single person to achieve.

Karl Marx noted that society was highly stratified in that most of the individuals in society, those who worked the hardest, were also the ones who received the least from the benefits of their labor. In reaction to this observation, Karl Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto where he described a new society, a more perfect society, a communist society. Marx envisioned a society, in which all property is held in common, that is a society in which one individual did not receive more than another, but in which all individuals shared in the benefits of collective labor (Marx #11, p. 262). In order to accomplish such a task Marx needed to find a relationship between the individual and society that accounted for social change. For Marx such relationship was from the historical mode of production, through the exploits of wage labor, and thus the individual’s relationship to the mode of production (Marx #11, p. 256).
The second section of The Communist Manifesto is the section in which Karl Marx attempts to offer rebuttals to popular criticisms of his theory of governance. These explanations are based upon the supposition that capitalists cannot make informed observations upon communism as they are unable to look past their capitalist upbringing and that capitalists only seek to exploit others. Though the logic behind these suppositions are flawed, Marx does make some valid points concerning the uprising of the proletariat.
He saw communism as a way for all people to be truly free and equal. There would be no more class discrimination and everyone would have resourced based on what is needed. He exclaimed that communism would give individuals the freedoms that the bourgeoisie denied them.
