In the poems “Goat” and “A Bee” they have several similarities and differences. The differences being the choice of words used in the poems, one was more descriptive and passionate. Also, the figures of speech would be another difference because one uses a lot of metaphors and hyperbole’s, the other uses a simile. The similarity I think would be that both of them want to escape from the world and be a part of nature. In the Goat Poem I feel like the author uses certain word choices that makes me think that the speaker is very passionate about nature and wants to be a part of it. Especially in the stanza where Shapcott says, “I ended up on the edge of the crowd/ where the road met the high hedgerow with the scent of earth/a thousand kinds of grass/ leaves and twigs,/flower-heads and the intoxicating tang of the odd ring-pull or rubber to spice the mixture.” (17-22) Also, when he says “ Now I loved snuffling behind his or her ear,licking a flank or two, licking and snuffling here/here/wherever I liked/ I lived for the push of goat muscle and goat bone/ the smell of goat fur/ goat bre...
Here are the flashbacks and foreshadowing. One of the similarities is they both had to do with animals and their parents telling them something. The other is that they have flashbacks of animals. Those are the similarities with flashbacks and foreshadowing.
Stories and poems are very different in many ways. Poems are often shorter than stories and have rhyme and meter. Stories do not have rhyme and meter and are usually much longer in length. Nevertheless a poem and a story can have many similarities. “Cherrylog Road” by James Dickey is a poem about a taboo relationship between two teenagers, while “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings” by Gabriel García Márquez is about an “angel” that has washed up on the shore of this small town. Both “Cherrylog Road” and “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings” have somewhat twisted theological parallels to the Bible.
I see strong correlations between the two poems because they are both at face value about horrible violence situations but the poet chooses to write about issues surrounding them. In their poems both of the poets use strong imagery to describe the two different fish and both poems also have the motif of someone watching a fish. The final element that stands out in both poems is the use of structure and the way that they are different. Although both poems are similar with some of the elements they differ in ways, like how the two poets describe the fishes in their own unique way and the different levels of simplicity in there writings where one is much more complex than the other.

In Myla Goldberg’s fiction novel, The Bee Season, young Eliza Naumann is a fifth-grader at McKinley Elementary School. In the novel, Goldberg incorporates several key concepts Martin Buber presents in his text, I and Thou. The story is set around Eliza as she competes in the school, district, and national spelling bees. Throughout the story, struggles as her family begins to separate and deteriorate. Buber in his text argues that there are two separate realms of I-You and I-It (Buber 82, 83). The I-It world is where Eliza experiences reality of the circumstances her family is experiencing. On the other hand, in the I-You world Eliza becomes in total commune and relation with God, or shefa as Eliza describes (Goldberg 190). Buber suggests every human has desire to be in I-You realm (Buber 79). However, this realm can become an I-It by individuals seeking the I-You— making it objectified and using it for a specific purpose (68). In Goldberg’s novel, Eliza begins seeking I-You, shefa, to remove herself from chaos and to help solve her problems of her broken family (Goldberg 172). Once she has obtained shefa, Eliza wants to be removed from the I-It world and “desires to have God continually in space and time” (Buber 161). Buber would suggest Eliza’s I-You relationship is lacking depth and that she is actually going further away from the I-You realm and into the I-It realm, as she objectifies her I-You. Goldberg helps the reader to have a better understanding of Buber’s key concepts, by allowing the reader to experience alongside Eliza as she encounters the I-You and I-It realms.
As Edgar Allan Poe once stated, “I would define, in brief the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of beauty.” The two poems, “Birthday,” and “The Secret Life of Books” use different diction, theme, and perspective to give them a unique identity. Each author uses different literary devices to portray a different meaning.
The Africanized bee, also known as the “Killer bee”, is a hybrid of one of the several European Honey Bee subspecies. The bee appears to look like a European Honey Bee, although is more temperamental. However, they are smaller in size, though scientists would only be able to see the difference.
Both authors use figurative language to help develop sensory details. In the poem It states, “And I sunned it with my smiles, And with soft deceitful wiles.” As the author explains how the character is feeling, the reader can create a specific image in there head based on the details that is given throughout the poem. Specifically this piece of evidence shows the narrator growing more angry and having more rage. In the short story ” it states, “We are below the river's bed. The drops of moisture trickle among bones.” From this piece of text evidence the reader can sense the cold dark emotion that is trying to be formed. Also this excerpt shows the conflict that is about to become and the revenge that is about to take place. By the story and the poem using sensory details, they both share many comparisons.
Both poems are similar in many respects and both writers share common ideas, the use of animals to portray ideas and the views they have about human kind. Both "The Tyger" and "The Donkey" show elements of each other, and this is reflected in the writer, two great minds, with great mindsets on life and human kind.
Although the imagery in each poem is distinct, the similarity of message in both poems is evident. The poems are similar in that the narrator’s lives are empty and contain no passion for pursuing anything. The ideas reflected in these poems are seen even today, in such things as listless living and job-related apathy. Both poems suggest that a life where dreams of meaningless things are pursued will end without purpose or significance.

Robert Frost’s nature poetry occupies a significant place in the poetic arts; however, it is likely Frost’s use of nature is the most misunderstood aspect of his poetry. While nature is always present in Frost’s writing, it is primarily used in a “pastoral sense” (Lynen 1). This makes sense as Frost did consider himself to be a shepherd.
