Elie Wiesel, the author of Night, and Langston Hughes the author of “I,Too” display many differences throughout their work. Each author's use of imagery and tone allow the reader to understand what both author’s experienced during these events. To begin with, in the Novel Night by Elie Wiesel and the poem “I,Too” by Langston Hughes, the two author’s use of imagery are different because they give the reader two different impressions. An example of this is in the novel Night Elie states “On the Appelplatz surrounded by barbed wire”. In the poem “I,Too” Langston states “I am the darker brother.They send me to eat in the kitchen”.
