Check It Out: A Fictional Narrative

One sunny, cold winter day, two boys named Zane and Dusty went to the park to play in the snow. Their parents told them to stay away from the wall ledge.

They had a snowball fight, and Dusty started backing onto the ledge. Zane threw a big snowball at Dusty’s face, and he fell. Dusty fell onto a pile of dirty snow and pine. Zane notice that Dusty fell and ran over to see whether he was okay.

Zane asked how he was, and Dusty wiped the snow off his face and said, “Yeah, I’m okay. It’s really cool down here. You should come check it out.” Zane shimmied down the wall stones to come see for himself. Dusty stood up, and they decided that they’d keep walking into the forest behind them.

They reached the point where they almost couldn’t see the wall;
