The greatest transformation of a character in "Unbroken", by Laura Hillenbrand, was Louis Zamperini. Throughout the course of events portrayed in the novel, Louis transforms from a troublemaking kid to a determined and focus adult. The events of his life, though horrific and unimaginable, shaped him into the man he became after WWII. Louis' transformation, though difficult, changed the course of his life forever. From the beginning, Louis Zamperini was a mischievous child. He stole, caused trouble in the neighborhood, and ran away without caring about the consequences.
