There are many struggles of parenting but Atticus Finch in the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee he handles Jem and scout very well when they try to disobey him and others. Atticus is a good parents because he always is making jem and scout respectful but holds his anger and doesn’t yell at them. In the book Atticus tells scout some advice that could last for a lifetime.he tells her that she cannot pick on somebody until you walk in their own shoes because scout picked on mr.cunningham's some and she beat him up that day at recess. Then jem invited mr.cunningham’s son over to have dinner later he came over and they had dinner but once he got his food he asked for syrup and poured it all over his food. Scout exclaimed at him and said what in the sam heck are you doing. Mr Cunningham’s son stood their in embarrassment and cal called scout to the kitchen then gave her a spank on her butt and told her what she did, was wrong scout ran out to the porch and started to cry when Atticus walked out and said that she should have done that because you can’t judge anybody until you walk in their own shoes for one day.
