Poverty, a concept that has plague humanity since the creation of currency. Money makes wealth, but money also makes poverty. That is a reality that we the American people know all too well. For example if you go a city there is a 75% chance that you will see a homeless on the side of the road (particularly near the road stop), or under a bride. Poverty is not just the homeless, based on the United States department of Commerce 50.1% of Americans live in the lower class. Although there are a lot of known variables that cause poverty in America, there are still some that the like racism, cultural habits and the government. Now how can racism contribute to poverty in America? At times patriotic citizens which tend to be Caucasian/ White also tend to think themselves as superior because “This is their country.” And make mockery of black and Hispanic people about food stamps when 65 percent of the food stamps go to white families. 65% shouldn’t be a problem but it is because from the overall percentage of pore families is 10% and so they are overusing benefits. Going back to racism, at times it occurs that a group of certain people attack another group and cause damages or injuries which cost money to repair and treat. The cost of window repair would be around one hundred to two hundred dollars, but a minor hospital bill may sum up to nearly one thousand dollars or more. The cause of poverty by racism extend from attacks to cooperate jobs, and establishments with their demographics. A study from 2006 by National Consumer Panel (NCP) when hurricane Katrina took its toile at New Orleans showed a lot of cases in which the insurance companies helped and worked more to help the white people than the other ethnic groups. Taxation is no big deal, mortgage payments sure why not. Those are payments to the government, although sixty percent of Americans know what moorage is, or how to do something as important as taxes. The big ways the government causes poverty is jobs, welfare, and corporate scamming. Welfare, how come question mark. Welfare is a tool to keep poor people at bay, it’s a simple bribing in which the benefactor is told that some certain stuff will be given for free to no cost. Stuff like residence, food Lone Star), or other luxuries like internet and paid school will be given because of their poor financial status. The people get accustomed and are tricked into staying in the same financial status to obtain certain luxuries. The other two reasons, jobs and corporate scamming hand-in-hand. Jobs are created by corporations in a vast majority of fields like pharmaceutical, medical, educational, engineering and many more. All jobs have a wage and part of the wage is deducted for when retirement arrives. Companies like Walmart, Microsoft, and every other world wide known take money from employees and use loopholes to stash it in untaxable regions.
