The Brave Little Toaster is an animated film that was created in 1987 and directed by Jerry Rees. The movie is about five everyday appliances, Toasty (a toaster), Lampy (a lamp), Radio, Kirby (a vacuum cleaner), and Blanky (a blanket), who all feel unloved and abandoned. They have been left behind in a deserted cabin for years patiently waiting for their owner Rob to come back. They hear a car drive up, and thinking it is their owner, they peek through the window. It turns out that the place is being sold. Tired of being stuck there, the appliances decide to go on an adventure in search of Rob. After realizing that their owner is not coming back, the appliances head out through the wilderness with only a car battery to provide all of them electricity. The first day goes by uneventful. The next morning, they find a lake and a meadow filled with various animals that are fascinated by the appliances. At one point a group of mice try pulling Blanky down into their hole. The animals start overwhelming the appliances, so they decide to leave and go back into the forest. They start looking for shelter because the car battery is almost out of electricity. They continue on their journey and reach a waterfall, where they have to cross a gorge. Toasty, terrified he’s going to drown, accidently lets everyone but Kirby fall. Kirby, all alone, jumps into the waterfall to save his friends. After everyone gets rescued, Toasty feels terrible for getting them lost. Radio, Lampy, Blanky, and Toasty all decided that they will pull Kirby along because they lost the car battery. Kirby ends up falling into a sinking mud hole and dragging everyone down with him one by one. But before Radio fully submerges into the mud, a man pulls him and the rest of the appliances
