Instead of mexicans stealing americans jobs.We the people of the U.S need to understand that the border wall is here to help us , not block us out from the rest of the world. We can insure that we will get our jobs back. We estimated that 8 million jobs are stolen by illegal aliens each year . The air is cool and crisp. Roosters can be heard welcoming the sun to a new day and a woman is seen, wearing a clean colorful wrap about her body and head, her shadow casting a lone silhouette on the stone wall. The woman leans over to slide a piece of paper into one of the cracks, hoping her prayer will be heard in this city of Jerusalem. Millions are inserting their prayers into the walls of Japanese temples, while an inmate in one of a hundred prisons across the United States looks past his wall toward the prayers he did not keep. Billions fall asleep each night surrounded by four walls and thousands travel to China to witness the grandest one of all. Who builds walls and who tears them down?
The border wall debate has become one of the most significant talking points in the United States and countries around the world. Many people believe that the wall is unnecessary and many think that it is necessary. Building a border wall may cost billions of dollars, but it might be able to save the country money as well. Some positive impacts of a border wall are for example a decline in apprehension rates, creating a safer America and putting a damper on the flow of illegal drugs. As well as the positive impacts, we will look at the negative implications as well. Some of these are that the symbolism, cost, effect of diversity, environmental impact and the higher death impact.
The fence was built directly through backyards and farms taking part of many homes and lands. Many citizens were angry because they thought that they were being “punished” and taken for granted with building the wall near them. Many believed that they were targeted to build it there because they had little money to fight the government. Despite the complains the border has also been a place where criminals sometimes pass illegal weapons and drugs to the United States for business and money.
In the words of Ronald Regan “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.” Many feel that illegal immigration is a growing concern for our nation, and securing our borders is most so that we can protect our homeland and preserving our freedom. They say these Illegals take jobs and deny opportunities for American citizens who have made worked hard to gain citizenship in a legal way.
In many of the chapters with the walls, we learn that what is shown, doesn’t have any real meaning. We learn that the purpose of the walls are mostly to distract civilians from thinking in order to protect their fragmented society.
China still uses the Wall today, as well. The vast structure serves as a popular tourist attraction, thus, stimulating Chinese economy. Throughout its lifetime, the masterpiece repelled invaders such as the Mongols from the empire that would soon be most of China. This protection allowed China to undergo some of the most vital advancements, such as standardization of things like currency, which unified to the six very different cities that this nation is comprised of. Hopefully one day, all across the globe will know of the incredible good that this ancient marvel has done for one of the world’s most prolonged societies.
Over the years it seems as though our country has become more populated and unsafe from the illegal immigrants and smuggled goods, such as drugs and weapons, which make it into the United States. Although there are many illegal immigrants and contraband that are able to make it into the U.S undetected, there are a significant amount of people and contraband that are caught by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The CBP is a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and was formed in 2003. “It is one of the world’s largest law enforcement organizations and is charged with keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S” (CBP). One of the departments of the CBP is border security, which is a team of individuals that work together to protect our country from “illegal immigrants, narcotics smuggling, and illegal importation” (CBP). Border patrol was established in 1924 and has changed dramatically over the decades. The one aspect that has not changed is “the overall mission to detect and prevent the illegal entry of aliens into the U.S” (CBP). The border patrol is responsible for patrolling the 6,000 miles of Mexican and Canadian land borders and 2,000 miles of coastal waters. According to CBP, “In 2013 420,789 nationwide illegal aliens were apprehended and 2.9 million pounds of drugs were seized.” As one could tell, there is a significant amount of illegal immigrants and smuggled goods coming into the U.S. However, the number of illegal immigrants that have been seized is lower than it has been in the past, but I still believe that having a strong border security is necessary in continuing to keep immigrants from trying to come into the U.S illegally and transporting illegal goods. “The primary goal of bo...
The truth is that building a border wall will not solve much, it will only make things worse. The United States and Mexican border has been the focus of an abundant amount of controversy the past decade in the States. The border wall, or border fence, is one of several barriers preventing illegal Mexican and South American immigrants from entering the United States. However, as statistics prove, immigration and drug smuggling has been on the rise the past few decades and our “three prong approach” is not confronting the escalating issue at hand. America’s border security is not resilient enough to deter these illegal immigrants and drug smugglers; our border wall must be fortified immediately.

How complicated can it be to secure the borderland? Nearly 2,000 miles and five states form the Southern border of the United States. Although the nation puts a lot of effort and resources on trying to secure the border, the Southern border remains as one of the most conflictive, active and violent borders in the world. The U.S.-Mexican border is very problematic: Thousands of people try to cross it everyday, violence is generated by the Mexican cartels, and there is an increase on human trafficking. The Border Patrol and the U.S. government face many great challenges, as the cartels become more powerful and corruption increases.
The Berlin Wall was constructed in 1961 by the GDR (German Democratic Republic - (East Germany) under the pretext of keeping out the fascist enemy infiltrating from West Germany. In actual fact, the wall was built to keep in the population of the GDR, many of whom were fleeing to a better life in West Berlin and other European Countries. Armed border guards were sworn to protect East Germany however they knew that a better life existed on the other side of the wall. Our border with Mexico divides one of the West's richest countries with a struggling third world economy. The nature of the border presents many unique issues; Mexican refuges looking for a better life here in America, Mexican drug lords exporting drugs to drug savvy America, American jobs going overseas for cheaper labor, as well as the integrating of our two cultures. Mexican immigration is a liability in our country, for reasons that I will state. Yet despite its threat to the American way of life and economy, many powerful elites believe in amnesty because: it drives down labor costs (but they forget to mention workers wages as well), it is "racist" (or at least many political figures will have you believe), and it is a huge untapped constituency. I believe that it would be in the United States best interest to increase our military presence and use of high tech surveillance on the border and continue to work bilaterally with Mexico, as well as create harsher domestic laws to help limit the flow of illegal drugs and immigrants into our nation.
People want to have a good job.Some people want to go to the US to get a hard working job.Some people cross the border to get a job with good paying that way they can probably send money to their family in Mexico.People want to have a good job to take care of their family so they go to the US to get more money.Also if they want to live somewhere in the United States they should be able to because if they build a wall they won't be able to follow their dreams.Also if the build a wall that's not gonna stop others from crossing the border because there is other ways they can cross it.

Some more obvious examples of walls as barriers to keep things within the walls include; prisons, walled-in private communities, farm fences, and other examples where people want to maintain their own private space. Walls that can do the exact opposite of keeping substance inside are meant to be obstructions that keep other things outside from a space. National and private borders are an example of walling out unwanted factors. Security fences, walls as defensive locations, and walls simply placed for the sole purpose of obstruction are effective obstacles that humans have been building for centuries.
