As my Civics class went through The Truth Project series, I saw what having a Biblical worldview did to affect the way I lived out my life. Beginning at tour 1 and ending with tour 12, I began to see the many aspects that go into the building of my knowledge of my Biblical worldview. Dr. Tackett showed us the different levels of worldview that we must understand to know that what we believe to be real is really real. Dr. Tackett brings us the first tour with the discussion of “What is Truth?” As I watched the tour, I often referred back to the cosmic battle that he brought up. There is truth or reality versus Lie or Illusion. It struck me that if I give into the lie then I will not reach the goal God has for us. I have gone on many vacations across the world and seen God’s handy work in action. As brought up in this tour, the Watchmaker Theory tells us that it is impossible to look at everything that has happened prior to us and think there was no creator and that it all happened by chance. One of my goals is to know many sides of a worldly scientifical view so I can back up my Biblical view to spread the truth. Tour 6 is focused on history and the way the past affects the present. Tackett said “We forget what we’re supposed to remember and remember what we’re supposed to forget.” I feel if I use my past and the world’s history to help others, I can change their view on truth and how they believe. As Tackett brought to us the topic of Sociology in tour 7, I focused on the spheres that he talked about. The Father is the head of the Trinity and the husband is the head of a family. If I obey and submit to my authorities and leaders, I can be an example for others. If I see to it that I focus on obedience, then my knowledge of my Biblical worldview will
