Learning a language is more than memorizing words. Acquiring fluency in a foreign language teaches students problem solving skills and thinking rigorously. Also, it offers many advantages in the social world. All students must achieve fluency in at least one foreign language before reaching high school to gain a more multifaceted education. Bilingualism is a useful tool in the global economy. Today, with the growth of the internet, businesses cross the oceans and unite all continents. Trade between certain countries requires an understanding of speech and culture. Studies show that the state of mind of children easily allows the acquisition of a language. At birth, the mind has the inner ability to understand all sounds. But when the child reaches 18 months, this ability begins to fall and it becomes more difficult to recognize unknown sounds. This reduction of hearing and reproducing sounds occurs because of the lack of listening to them. For example, English speakers can face difficulties in recognizing and reproducing the pure vowels of Spanish because they are accustomed to the assimilated vowels of English. By being nine, the process of speaking a second language is more arduous. The loss of the integral mental capacities causes the impossibility of acquiring an accent. In a conversation, the pronunciation may seem confusing. Changes in growth impede the ability to master speech in different languages. For all of the above, it is more beneficial to start learning a second language at an early age. Immersion programs work best in teaching languages to ensure acquisition with the greatest fluency. Immersion schools give students a comprehensive language experience. Children attending a dive school listen and speak their second language most of the time. Through fully experiencing the language, students assimilate quickly. In addition, because of the advantages of studying a language at an early age, vocabulary and language can be understood
