“And women in Afghanistan miserable. Seventy percent of the Afghan people are malnourished. One in every four children won't live past the age of five because healthcare is not available. Women have been denied access to doctors when they're sick. Life under the Taliban is so hard and repressive, even small displays of joy are outlawed -- children aren't allowed to fly kites; their mother's face beatings for laughing out loud” (George W Bush). This reveals that the Afghanistan women are being mistreated and are denied of human basic needs. The women are imprisoned in their own houses never to go outside without a male relative. They must wear burqas before going outside with their men. If the they break the Taliban’s rule they will be punished harshly. Also women must go to a bad hospital with bad supplies for medical attention. Therefore the Talibans to understand that God created everybody equal. …show more content…

Once the Taliban took control of Kabul in 1994, the Taliban denied their access of how they live (Goodwich). They banned “women of having a education” and having a job (Goodwich). The Taliban do a harsh things to women because it's a religious belief. The Taliban claim that they are “restoring Afghanistan to the purity of Islam” (Goodwich). But the Organization of Islamic Conference denies that “the Taliban is not the image the Islamic world wants to project...and with good reason” (Goodwhich).
