Our personality and thoughts revolve around how an individual is raised in the world. Adversity, difficulties or misfortunes, help the growth of talents and characteristics that would have not bloomed in regular circumstances. Challenging and difficult situations help individuals grow to be smarter, better and stronger people by revealing talents that would have remained dormant otherwise because they can learn from the obstacle and as a result they will be better prepared for future adversities. Adversities and challenges are necessary in life to help us discover who we are and how we can grow from the difficulties in our past. The confrontation of adversities is inevitable throughout a person’s lifespan whether it be a hard and impossible adversity or an effortless adversity, everybody faces them. The tragedies and hardships that an individual undergoes undoubtedly helps them grow for the better because of the experience and wisdom that somebody is able to bring to new challenges. Novelists and writers are known to go through adversities which allows them to write books with more experience and emotion than the average author. Authors become great writers when they themselves are able to go through their own adversities which allows them to use their talent of writing which would have not surfaced if they did not go through difficult times. The hardships in life that we all endure through is necessary in order for us to grow. From Wiesel’s adversity he was able to show us his true talent of writing.
