Events, no matter how big or small, can cause someone’s world to be turned upside down, lifted up, or somewhere in between. It often makes me think of how sidewalks are composed and with any bit of pressure or stress, they crack, but often hold together even by a strand. All caused by getting walked on or weathered and also going through hard times just the same as people do. Sidewalks often keep their strength and have something to help hold together. People often have objects or a person that helps hold them together and help with trials that life throws our way. Such as this verse from the bible, “I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me”, Philippians 4:13. Up’s and down’s describe, in detail, most people’s lives and how I think of a curb as somebody being there for me to protect me from other people running me over and beating me down. My mother plays a big role in being the curb in my life, as she guides me through the thick and thin. On the other hand, my loving mother could also feel like the baseball fence that often gives that feeling of never being able to do the things I wanted to do as a teenager. Almost everything my mother did to “be the fence’ and hold me back from the negativity in the world was all for the good to keep me safe. Most parents “be the fence” because they have either been there themselves and experienced the horrible negativity in the world, or have had a friend or someone they knew that they witnessed go to the To me, a beautiful sky has always made me happy and been that one thing that is always beautiful and can brighten up my day. The bright sunny sky in the picture leans more to helping with the big cracks in my life, or ups and downs. Just so I can look up and observe the great creations and how beautiful they really are. Or the pretty green nice cut grass shown in the picture having the bright sun as its aid to show off the cleanly cut grass. They work together using teamwork, just as I love to do however so often I
