The book and movie of A Christmas Carol are very good. I liked the book version a lot better than the movie. Yes they had parts that were the same but, some parts of the book were different from the movie. Books do have a little more detail than the movies do. This one had a lot of similarities and differences. Some of the differences I found were how the character was feeling. In the movie he had got used to the them coming to visit him. In the book he always had a different emotion that he felt or how the spirits welcomed him. Also the book had a lot more detail that the movie didn’t show. One more I had found was how the book had ended comparison to the movie. It was more dramatic. The movie had only told what he was doing next.
The differences in the movie and the book might have been intentional. If audiences were to read the book, watch the movie, and reach conclusions, I think they would have great understanding of what’s inside them both. For example, a scene in the movie in which Atticus tells his children why it is a sin to kill a mockingbird was not in the book; from that scene, I inferred on how that became the initial title of the book. By using both resources, I was able to gather information and grasp its contents tighter.

He refuses to donate to the poor, he dismisses family who want a relationship, and he is miserable and tries to make others the same way. When two men come to see Scrooge, they were asking for donations for the poor. Scrooge, being one of the wealthiest people in the community, is very dismissive, wrongfully so, and asks the two men to leave empty handed. I think the film was better in the story, “A Christmas Carol.” This is because it has more detail in it than the story does. The movie is more exciting and the reader can see what’s going on, but in the story they can’t see anything so it’s not as exciting as the movie. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, however, teaches the most profound lesson of all: unless he changes, no one will care if Scrooge dies.
