"Dress Code!" MasterFILE Complete. Educational Leadership, Dec.-Jan. 2014-2015. Web. 18 Feb. 2016. This article comes from the point of view of a school principal Thomas R. Hoerr. Hoerr starts of with a comment that was made to him about a young girl and what she was wearing. The comment referred to her undergarments. The author continues to explain the two points he learned, and because of those points, he made his school a casual place. The dress code he established only proclaims to be “neat and clean.” The author saw no problem until the attire came so close as to be dressing at the beach, so he conducted a meeting with his staff and decided something should be said. When the author wrote the work dress guidelines, he got the input of the teachers and what should be expected by each guideline. However, the author only sent out the draft to people who had worked with him for fifteen or more years, so the question arose that the world is changing and he needed opinions from younger teachers. When he received feedback, he was questioned on if some codes really made a difference, and he made some changes. Next Hoerr tells his readers that when they give a restriction on something, they must have a rational reason why. Hoerr’s reason was that the school staff needed to have a professional experience, which make since because some students might not take their teacher seriously if he or she is dressed for bed. This article uses logos by appealing to logic on
Then, in reading about the life-stage even further I came to conclude how much more it can be used, is applicable to my client, and this is by the following:
Although dress codes promote safety there are some negative affects of it. Dress codes don’t prepare kids for the jobs in the future. “Some employers—some dotcom companies, for example—care less about how their employees dress and more about their work.” (Wilder 4) Even though a lot of jobs don’t require dress

Requiring boys to wear properly fitted slacks, polo-styled shirts, belts, and standard shoes would address the wearing of inappropriate printed t-shirts and poorly fitted pants, for example. Having girls to wear slacks or skirts, standard shoes, and polo-styled shirts would address most concerns about clothing that reveals too much. Length of skirts could continue being an issue, though.
Each day, I receive C.S. 21’s official daily attendance roster and I mark all students that
Proper attire and good attitude is very important in evaluation of first impression. In the company, there are rules that I must obey and comply. This include in time management, and appearances. It is a big responsibility for me because when I was assigned to to my training in the company, I bring USM image with me too.
A dress code enforces discipline toward learning by changing a person’s attitude toward success. Students generally act the way they are dressed. With fewer fashion distractions, school will be seen as a priority for teaching and learning rather than trend competitions. This alteration leads to modification in grades because it’s much easier to focus when everyone is dressed alike. Furthermore, a student’s attendance also improves; with the relief of picking out a new outfit every morning.
A common social norm we face in everyday life is the rule of dressing for the occasion. Basically, this means that we should wear what is suitable for
The cooperating teacher used many strategies to maximize her use and her students’ use of English in the classroom. To begin with, Mrs. Sekeli stayed loyal to her decision of always speaking English unless being faced with a serious behavioural issue. By staying constant in her use of English, her students’ expectations on her use of the L2 were set in stone, which I believe motivated them to talk to her in English. Mrs. Sekeli’s positive attitude towards her students’ success also plays a great role in her maximization of the her L2. Knowing what is best for her students and being positive about their success is what pushed her on the daily basis to continually use the L2 in her class. This way, she would not get discouraged to the point of using the students’ first language. This is the main difference I noticed in my two cooperating teacher, and I am positive that it affected their use of English in their classrooms. The first cooperating teacher I was assigned to kept on telling me how his students were a hassle that he couldn't manage anymore, and that he felt like giving up. In class, he could use the L1 for approximately half of the lesson, compared to Mrs. Sekeli
As uniforms were required in most schools in the past, we all know it was also a trending fashion in work environments for various reasons. Although we can see more freedom about dress codes in recent years, we were stricter in this regard in the past, as we just come to realize it. It was a mandatory dress code almost in every school across the World. As times have changed along with our culture, work ethics along with technology, we are now discussing whether to go back to uniform days. Making it a mandatory again in most schools as it is getting out of hand with economical differences of families, internet and fashion. As these facts are
It is my hope that you will consider me a successful candidate for an interview with the Niskayuna Central School District, as I feel I have so much to offer students as a teacher and a role model. The deep passion that I feel for my subject matter and the desire I have to share that passion with my students, I feel, has a very strong impact on My life experiences and personal philosophy regarding education and its role for our future citizens of the world would be an invaluable asset to your English department, and to the high school community as a whole.
Clothing also allows a student to show they pride they have in their body. Regardless if they decide to dress
