Imagine arising from a deep and peaceful slumber, when you notice your precious television had been destroyed. What would you do while drinking scrumptious coffee from your favorite mug in the morning, or after a long and frustrating day at work? Television can be defined as an escape from all the chaos in every person’s life, to a world they can only fantasize about. Television, also known as the small screen, is a part of every person’s life during the twenty-first century. Students having little to no conception of the issues occurring around them, decrease in the number of jobs, as well as spending free time moving backwards in technology rather than forwards are just some of the conflicts we would have to face. Television is considered a very powerful and useful tool in the world that we live in. Ultimately, life without televisions would drastically affect our world in a more negative rather than positive way. To begin, education would most certainly worsen throughout the world. Despite the development of the Internet, television is still one of the most important, likewise convenient sources of information in today’s world. By destroying televisions students are less likely to acknowledge the conflicts occurring in their country, neighboring countries, or really anywhere. In addition, standardized exams are a large part of education in our world. The creators and graders of the exams only want factual details. If listening to the radio does not intrigue students like a colorful and clear screen filled with people does, students will without a doubt receive lower test scores. However, the perfect day comes around every so often, while technology is always there to assist people with all their needs and comfort them during tedious times. As previously mentioned, destroying all televisions would worsen our society and it would be like starting from scratch on our journey to a successful world filled with advanced technology. Education would evolve into something that our country would certainly not be proud of. Also, the employment rate would be affected drastically in a negative way. Moreover, spare time would be spent filled with stultified people who are not eager when it comes to advancing in technology. In conclusion, television is a part of our lives, if televisions ever disappeared it would be like a part of us was missing, and television have been around for decades and that will never end.
