Twelve Trees is a company that originated in Canada. One of the advantages of this company is that they originated a diverse country which they can hire any nationality. It would be an advantage for them to hire a Mandarin speaking employee since it would cost less compared to hiring an outsourced interpreter. On the other hand, while working with an interpreter, they must have a list of questions to be asked so that they can follow the conversation flow between Defang Hezuo’She. In addition, to ensure the integrity of the meeting, they should bring one more interpreter so that they would be able to decode Defang Hezuo’She message to the Twelve Trees perfectly.

In order to prolong their ties, Twelve Trees should be proactive in taking care of their supplier. Since the people of China have a high context society, Twelve Trees should tap on relationship building not just focusing on business alone. One example of this would be giving gifts to Chinese special occasions like Chinese New Year. It is an important year for them, so as a business partner they also have to respect them by sending a greeting of offering a gift so that the supplier will know that even Canadians value their religion and their culture.
In addition, Twelve Trees should also follow the terms and condition of Defang Hezuo’She. If the company gave them a quota they must comply with their terms to avoid conflict between the two companies. In doing so, Twelve Trees are building trust with the Chinese company that will surely be beneficial for them in the long run.
