As climate change becomes a vital topic of conversation, there is also a growing need to determine both the positive and negative impacts of climate change. There are a lot of issues concerned with industrial progress and government regulations of the environment, however, one problem that is often overlooked is the impact on the various socioeconomic classes. Environmental issues hurt those living in countries with poor government regulations due to their resources are constantly depleted and destroyed because of industrialization. In addition, people can hurt the land by overusing its resources and finding environmental regulations irrelevant. The environment and the socioeconomic trends of specific regions have the potential to harm each other, through pollution and lack of solutions, and can benefit one another by providing resources. One of the most important socioeconomic classes to focus on, in terms of environmental triumphs and struggles, is the developing world or the “third world”. According to the World Health Organization, some of the worst environmental problems stem from a lack of enforcement of environmental policies. As a result, roughly one third of children, ninety-seven percent of which are live in developing countries, have cognitive disabilities due to lead poisoning (WHO). …show more content…

With little to no government intervention in developing countries, it is hard to protect the environment from human destruction but there is also a challenge in keeping humans and other organisms safe. In developed nations, there are a lot of environmental regulations but they do not seem to have much effect as the people are continuously struggling to find the proper resources to continue to thrive.
