Nate Parker once said, “The American Dream is more about opportunity than anything else” (Brainyquote.com). When people are wishing to pursue the American Dream, they are looking for jobs, opportunities, and roles in the world where they can successfully complete what they desire for themselves. There are billions of people on this planet, and with them, billions of desires about what they want to accomplish. No matter what a person is wishing to pursue, there are many different opportunities that go along with their desire. A person’s attitude, however, towards these opportunities is crucial to his or her success. The ability to achieve the American Dream is determined by a person’s attitude because one’s work and determination, or lack
In conclusion, when dreaming big, remember to consider the American dream, weakened retirement, and smart investments. At times, dreaming big can seem unrealistic, but achieving your dreams are not hopeless. Sailor adds that “in other words, instead of putting all of your money in stocks, put some in stocks, some in bonds, and some in alternative investments [An alternative investment is any investment other than the three traditional asset classes: stocks, bonds, and cash.] like hedge funds, private equity, or even fine art and wine” (1). Being knowledgeable and making wise decisions can help with dreaming big. According to Jesse Owens, “we all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort” (1).
Have you ever set a goal for yourself that seemed almost impossible to achieve? It is better to dream big because it brings motivation and success. Dreaming brings people the desire to achieve their goals. For example, in the book “The Glass Castle” the protagonist, Jeannette, was very poor, but intended to become a writer. With Jeannette’s financial position she was unable to get a proper education, so she faced many setbacks.
People often say “In America, you can be whatever you want” but this is not always the case. Many people in society, both young and old, have dreams of attending an elite college and becoming very successful in their career, but there is no guarantee it will happen. What might be a reality for some is just another “dream” for others. People should not take this statement so literally, what the statement is trying to conclude is all the resources of becoming successful does exist. Success and happiness are ultimately up to the person pursuing the dream to make them come true.
According to Bill Rancic, a celebrity, motivational speaker, and successful business man, “Only in America can someone start with nothing and achieve the American Dream. That's the greatness of this country.” Everybody has their own perspective of what the American Dream is. Always strive to become better than what is expected; when striving to become better than what's expected everything around becomes better too. The American dream is to be able to go to school to become educated and find a career to become successful, as well as being able to take care of all responsibilities and be able to look back on what you have achive. To succeed the American Dream it's quite simple; one must be able to remain focus, being in this big country there are a lot of things that will try to restrain you from achieving the dream. Being able to get an education and get a job is just part of being able

Globalization encourages worldwide business. Ever since I was young I have always been interested in businesses and how they operate, as well as being fascinated by other languages and cultural differences. My passion for the subject expanded when I chose business studies and french, as part of my A-level education. Although these subjects are somewhat demanding, I find them extremely interesting. I believe that a degree combining both these aspects is the correct choice for me. I am confident that a course in international business studies and modern languages satisfies both these interests. I will be looking forward to learning about the international business world and I am relishing the thought of learning to integrate with other European countries. The idea of learning to communicate with other people across the world is something that has always appealed greatly to me.
I want to ask you guys “what were your childhood dreams?” Walk over again in your memory, and think what were your dreams when you were young, naïve, and reckless. We believed we could be anything or anyone that we wanted. We were bold enough to say it out loud, “Yes, I can go to Harvard.” However, as we grow older, whenever somebody ask us “what do you to do when you grow up”, even though it is a simple one question, we often find ourselves afraid, hesitating, shrinking back and embarrassed to say what we truly think. At last, we will answer them, “I don’t know.” Listening to what we said, the grown-ups say, “These students don’t have visions.”
Foreign language skills can be useful in promoting American foreign interests. In a global economy, doing business abroad is paramount, but language barriers can be a burden. Opponents of a foreign language requirement in education would argue that most foreign businessmen already speak English. Admittedly, most foreign competitors do speak English, but only out of necessity. They learned to speak English in an effort to better communicate with their American counterparts and take advantage of the money making potential of doing business in America.
The language barrier, which is also a difficult hurdle to encompass, serves as one of the most obvious cultural differences. A manager can delegate a task to be accomplished within a US based division and reap the expected results immediately. On the other hand, if an international manager is not familiar with the English language or culture, the same task may yield a different result. Language is the transmitter of both information and ideas. "The key to global competency is to develop the skills to cope, and that means integrating into the dominant culture and realizing how to properly interpret and analyze behavior" (Hayes, 1996). Being bilingual increases the advantage that foreign business partners have in interacting together. It nullifies the need of a third party translator. Business partners tend to be more open and receiving when communicating with bilingual personnel who speak there native language. "An understanding of the language allows the manager to pick up particular points of view, implied meanings, and other information that is not literal" (Moreno, 2006).
Tony Hsieh the CEO of Zappos once said “Chase the vision, not the money, the money will end up following you.” My dream job is to own my own business someday to become an entrepreneur. “Entrepreneur is someone who has a vision of something and a want to create” once said by David Karp, Tumblr founder and CEO. To take responsibility to be the person that is the leader of my team. To help my vision come to life and be successful at it, I will need to reach my goals and gain knowledge. My wiliness to help others find their goals in life and them to accomplish them.
Globalization has changed the world economy. Most of the small companies cannot ignore any events that occur outside their borders this is because of what happened in one country an impact on the rest of the world has. Individuals who work for small companies that believe they can act independently is not a realistic people, but they are myopic and have narrow minded. Actually, the study of international business is relevant to all people who are in the business world does not matter whether the organization is a large or small organization. The first reason is that so many things are imported from other countries. In the example, closing a deal in China will be a very different process than would be in U.S than it is in India. Customs of other countries need to be followed if a businessperson is to be successful worldwide.
