As people are facing addictions, mental illness, lack money management skill, unemployed, or relocating to a new area are the reasons people become subjected to becoming homeless. Many homeless individuals have no place of their own due to poverty levels, trauma or life challenges are other reasons that created their struggle to sustain a place of their own called home. Along with other challenges, homeless people do not have the resources for their security deposit and/or the ability to sustain the funds to pay their monthly rent in order to maintain a home.

Supports groups are formed to gain a better awareness of the need in the community. Those that lack treatment get connected with medical treatment. It allows others to provide a good sense of self worth, build relationship, trust, giving others an opportunity to have a better life. It reduces homelessness and builds better communities. An experience homeless person could share their stories for positive outcomes in the future and the voice for those that are silent. Encourages positive change by raising funds for a cause and allow those in need of resources to gain some assistance. However, Affordable housing is another option that is highly needed. There is such a need for homeless people to think of having a roommate to reduce the cost of living expenses. As passing out cardboard boxes was a proactive suggestion in the brainstorming, in reality it is a temporary process that homeless people do utilize to create shelter. Other ways to increase resources may be to provide money management courses to the people while in high school. Providing job training to gain skills that will earn sufficient earnings to allow them to afford their housing
