The novel “Animal Farm” was written by the author name George Orwell. Animal Farm is a novel based upon the lives of a society of animals wanting a better life for themselves living on the Manor Farm. The setting of the book is a farm called “Manor Farm”. The theme of this book is that the animals should make a stand; if they continue doing the same thing they will continue getting the same results. It is better to be free and starving, than to be fed and enslaved. In Animal Farm there are many important characters. Some of the characters that played a role in this book are Old Major, Snowball, Napoleon, Mr. Jones and Boxer. The rising action was that Napoleon took the puppies and trained them. The climax is when Napoleon killed the other animals on the farm from what he feels is betrayal. Falling action was when he replaced the beast of England with a poem comrade. The resolution was really not one, but what can be one is when Napoleon sent boxer’s to the slaughter house to be killed. Conclusion is when the animals were being fooled by the same leadership they started with. Nothing had change it was just a different leader with different rules. The pigs begin taking control of the planning and government of the farm; Snowball and napoleon engage in a dispute in compete for power. Napoleon than runs Snowballs off the farm with his trained pack of dogs and declared that the power to make decisions for the will be controlled solely by the pigs. The animals decided to rename the farm so that their farm will be seen as under control of the animals. They rename it "Manor Farm." With Napoleon at the helm of Animal Farm, things would dramatically change .The two dogs of the farm, Jesse and Bluebell, and their offspring are recruited to form Napoleon 's secret police for the farm. Eventually, Napoleon has a brigade of nine dogs who follow him everywhere for his protection. The cartoon Animal Farm is an animation based off the novel by George Orwell. It is about animals that live on a farm who are unhappy with how they are being treated by the farmer, Mr. Jones. They stage an uprising and run him off the property. The animals do well in organizing and running their own farm and being independent until Mr. Jones gathers fellow farmers to take back his land and animals. After the battle (which the animals won), The animals’ government system takes a turn for the worse.
After a while, the animals ended up rebelling, and managed to kick out Mr. Jones. During the beginning of “Animal Farm’s” reign under Snowball and Napoleon’s (main characters) lead, it brought the animals on Manor Farm together into a peaceful world. I have chosen to discuss the contrast and comparison between the two leaders, Snowball and Napoleon. These pigs lead the Revolution from the start. Animal Farm is an allegory; most of the events and animals described in the book represent some historical event or person. The pigs in the book represent communist leaders. Old Major, the boar, represents Marx and Lenin as the one who lays the foundation of their philosophy. Mr. Jones, the farmer, represents the Czar who is abruptly overthrown in a fit of fury from the people. The pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, the two of whom are constantly disagreeing on how the farm should be run, represent Stalin and Trotsky. The dogs represent the various agencies used to force compliance with Soviet rule, while Squealer represents communist propaganda. The original reason that the animals revolt is because the humans take without producing anything; they leech off the labor of the animals. Kicking the humans out of the farm allows the animals to feel better about their work because now they know that all of their labor is for their own benefit. However, the pigs soon started abusing this work ethic for their own gain
First of all, Napoleon is a huge Berkshire boar and he clearly is the most powerful of all the animals. He was able to take complete leadership of the farm because he secretly trained the dogs to attack Snowball. George Orwell writes, “ ‘Never mind the milk, comrades!’ cried Napoleon, placing himself in front of the buckets. ‘That will be attended to, the harvest is more important’ (817). Napoleon is quite demanding none of the animal’s even question his authority because they know that he has more control than any other animal. Throughout the novel Orwell has many quotes that describe Napoleon as a leader, “ ‘long live Comrade Napoleon’ ” (846). All the animals on the farm (no matter what Napoleon did to them) would treat him as a powerful leader and whatever he said they would do. Often Orwell stirs up controversy about the rebellion, “ ‘forward in the name of the rebellion. ‘Long live Animal farm!’ ‘Long live Comrade Napoleon!’ ‘Napoleon is always right.’ Those were his very last words, comrades’ ” (849). Squealer’s letting everyone know that no matter what happens to Animal Farm, just remember that Napoleon was an outstanding leader most of the time. Napoleon was an outstanding leader and contributor to Animal Farm without his power the farm would have collapsed earlier.
