Doctor Who is a Science-fiction drama television show in the United Kingdom and is broadcasted by BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation). The show was created by Sydney Newman who was a Canadian film and television producer who brought doctor who to the United Kingdom on November 23 1963. Newman was known as the man to set the foundation for the show giving the idea about the “Blue Box” being bigger on the inside then the outside and also for naming the show and “The Doctor” himself. Now when I say “The Doctor” of course I am referring to the hero of the show which in the case of the beginning it would be William Hartnell but it wasn’t just the doctor and his lonely self he is almost always paired up with a lovely companion and his happened to be Carole Ann Ford as Susan Foreman “The Doctors granddaughter”.
In Doctor Who the hero of the show is known as The Doctor he is an alien known as a Time Lord which hails from the planet named Galifrey. Time lords aren’t as weird looking because they are aliens in fact they look just like any other human except they have European/Caucasian appearance but don’t let their appearance fool you. They come with a variety of things that make them special like the fact that they could survive falls that could otherwise shatter human bones they have great resistance against extreme cold and up to Subzero temperatures and extremely low pressure of vacuum for about six minutes , along with the cold they can also survive extreme heat. They can with stand an electric shocks that would be fatal to humans and with that they are also able to absorb radiation that can be fatal to anyone else but when absorbed they can turn said radiation into a form harmless to humans. Time lords have also been known to be...

This show is a perfect way to get your fix of the medical field with all the drama, I watched this show for years and to this day I still want to be a surgeon. I know that this show is not what real life is like with being a surgeon or a nurse, but it is still extremely interesting. I think I fit the best with this show because of the main character not having a normal childhood, there are so many reasons why this show can draw a person in and you can relate to. Grey’s Anatomy was created by Shonda Rhimes, the first sole African-American female showrunner in the history of television. When asked in the early days of the series about her influences, she spoke frequently of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and there’s a healthy dollop of that show’s breakneck pacing and love of wild plot twists in Grey’s. (Grey's Anatomy. 2 n.d.). But there’s also a unique blend of workplace drama and over-the-top soap that has Rhimes’ calling card. In many ways, Rhimes has been rather undervalued as a creator of hugely addictive TV, primarily because of the genres in which she writes, which are rarely among TV’s most acclaimed. Yet Rhimes writes fast-paced, perfectly pitched dialogue as well as anyone working in television, and she’s also great at swooning romanticism, at embracing the kind of deeply earnest, intensely felt romance that made the show’s relationships so
wrong, a lot like the way Mr Hyde was thought of. So to Mr Utterson,
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde both suffer; however, one from illness and the other from insanity. Mr. Hyde is a sociopath, and lives in it to the full extent as well as Jekyll being a psychopath. However, Hyde was created the way he was to portray a sinful side of Jekyll, while Jekyll was himself throughout, good and bad, to manipulate and gain in the harm of
In 1887, Sherlock Holmes made his first appearance in A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but only in 1891, in A Scandal in Bohemia that Holmes’ stories became very famous, and eventually, Holmes’ adventures got adapted for film. Lately, in 2010 BBC made a series called “Sherlock”, and the first episode is called “A Study in Pink” referring to the first book where Sherlock Holmes was introduced. The TV adaptation is significantly more effective in showing the relationship between Holmes and Watson with changes made to the plot and characters.
is a great aspect of humour, this is shown in two major ways. One of
The Walking Dead, a television show about surviving in the zombie world, is based on the comic book with the same name created by Robert Kirkman. In this show Rick Grimes, a sheriff's deputy, awakes from his coma and finds himself in a hospital. He soon discovers that while he was in a coma the world had become infected, turning humans into flesh-eating zombies later called Walkers by the characters. As Rick sets out to find his family he encounters many other survivors such as Glenn, Daryl, Carl, Maggie, Carol, Sasha, Hershel, Beth, and Michonne, among many others who have died along the way. Rick and the survivors have been through a lot throughout the show, such as having to move from place to place to avoid being eating by walkers. After walking a longs way, they finally find shelter in an old prison where they now live. Although The Walking Dead shows a lot violence, it sends many positive messages to the viewers that teach them about survival, religion and betray and how each of these can be beneficial in the real world
“Good show, Watson!” John Watson, and his role model Sherlock Holmes are characters from Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous Sherlock Holmes Series. Young Sherlock Holmes is a movie that recreated the first time that Sherlock and Watson become friends. The characters in this movie, Young Sherlock Holmes, are that of many. Of course there was Sherlock Holmes himself and his apprentice John Watson, but also there was others. Including Sherlock’s love interest, Elizabeth Hardy; the professor, Professor Rathe; and the nurse, Mrs. Dribb. In the movie, it shows the first time Watson and Holmes meet. Right away, Holmes is shown to be a student with very high intelligence. When citizens start having mental breaks and committing suicides, Holmes starts to suspect something. He rushes down to the police station, and tells the lead detective that he believes that something is wrong, but the detective just blows it off. After Sherlock finds a clue that leads him to an egyptian cult, he gets himself and his friends into trouble. Arthur Conan Doyle has written many other works that included important characters such as Sherlock Holmes, Brigadier Gerard and Professor Challenger (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Literary Estate). If the film, Young Sherlock Holmes, is historically correct compared to the novels written by Arthur Conan Doyle, then the film could be used to learning purposes.
Sherlock Holmes, a name most people would know if they were to hear it, has come to greatly influence the modern world of mysteries. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had no idea a character he started to write about for the first time in 1887 would still be carried alive by other TV and movie producers in 2014. Doyle also never new that Holmes would become such a popular character or result in a name mostly everybody would know. Even if there was a person who did not know who or what Sherlock Holmes was, they are certain to have at least heard his name before. “Doyle turned his principal character into a household word” (Haining 7). Doyle started a legacy that lives on forever. Sherlock Holmes personality and looks may change with every generation he is in, but his main characteristics remain the same. Sherlock Holmes’ style of deduction, great sense of observation and strange personality in Arthur Doyle’s stories influenced how TV and movie producers would portray Holmes in their version of Doyle’s mysteries in shows such as Elementary and Sherlock.
