This is why they refer to it as an Audience of One, because they are the only ones watching what is happening. In the music video, the child smashes the band, who are the last people left to complain about his actions, to show how Bush got rid of his problems when someone went against him or his political views. They speak of being vampires running away from a thousand burning suns. In this the thousand burning suns is the world, while the vampires are the American people.
