Marcellina didn’t know what to think when she fell in infatuated with one of her father’s workers. Though, she wasn’t surprised. From the moment Celio began to come to work for her father, she was mesmerized. He worked restlessly to help others, the less fortunate, and those poor souls in the world. Celio tried his best to survive in the treacherous world he lived in, and did his best to make life easier for all the rest of the people too. There was nothing Marcellina wanted more than to be his, and him, hers. Even the mere thought of him, heart would begin to skip a million paces, and as a result she had become a nervous wreck. She couldn’t focus on her school work at all! At first, she wanted nothing to do with him; after all, she knew almost nothing about him, her love for him was childish. She was supposed to be a mature young lady, this wasn’t appropriate. It was unmannerly and unacceptable the way she was acting because of him, but his being plagued her existence, for he worked for her father, the watchmaker. Every day, with the same routine, and with the same intentions…
Celio never thought much of Marcellina though, he saw her once in a while, and she never did say anything, but her presence was acknowledged. Though Celio had a feeling Marcellina was just another pretty face, and inside there was most likely a demon taking residence. Nothing to prove it, but that was of little relevance to him. The possibilities of her fondness and admiration never did cross his mind, well he couldn’t have, and she barely existed to him anyway. Celio’s mind was too preoccupied to think about “love”. Eighteen years old, he was two years older than her, and too old her at least anyways.
He lived in the slums of Rhitelian, and he only ever...

... the meadow. They had been together all this time. When Mr. Lyrca died, the business was handed over to Celio, over the years he had become Mr. Lyrca’s right hand man. Marcellina did manage to make a name of herself, just like she wanted. Marcellina became a great teacher and a scientist. They started a line of orphanages and homeless shelters to help all those who needed a place to stay. They adopted many of the children from the slums too.
“That reminds me Marcie, I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”
Marcellina raised her head to look at her beloved husband.
“Yes my dear?”
“Did you ever find out who left that box at you mother’s grave?”
Marcellina laughed at Celio’s inquiry, her voice like the rippling of wind chimes, “I was wondering when you’d ask that, but no, we really didn’t. Although my father and I like to believe that it was a gift sent from heaven.”
