“We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.” These words were spoken by Thomas Fuller. This quote may seem rather confusing to some people. The meaning behind this is the main effects that water pollution has on the environment. Water is one of the most important components in the world. Do you ever wonder what life would become without water? If a large amount of water were to vanish, how would we be able to keep ourselves hydrated throughout the day? Remain clean? Healthy? These are just the basic effects of water pollution because losing water, means losing plants, food and oxygen. The loss of clean water, can mostly lead to the loss of endangered or innocent animals that live in the ocean .Fish cannot survive in a polluted filled area. Water is very important. Before people throw their litter on the sand of a beach, or overuse the water from their sinks, they need to think about how their leading the environment’s future to destruction.

The text states in the column ‘Protecting Water’ by the NRDC charity, “Many of our water resources lack basic protections, making them vulnerable to pollution from factory farms, industrial plants, and activities like fracking. This can lead to drinking water contamination, habitat degradation and beach closures.” It clearly states that with the lack of protection for water, its more vulnerable to many pollutants, toxins, dirt and other sources including chemicals. In other words, the water we consume and enjoy should stay clean, if we lived a life with a water polluted world, what would future’s life soon become?
