Recommended: Career choice about fashion designer

Right now I am going to school for Fashion Design and Retail Management. After I graduate I plan on opening my own little boutique.

The general employment outlook in your area (how likely are you to find a job in the next 2-5 years in this career)?

The difference in this question is that I don’t plan on working for anyone. I want to work on my own designs and work patenting my own name for my designs, opening my own shop with the help from my family. This is something that has been a dream of mine, and something that I have always wanted to do ever since I have been in high school. I have always wanted to create my own line of clothing in my own unique style, and see them on people and have people say, “ where did you get that beautiful dress,” and they would reply it’s a (Brittini DeNicola) design. I know I have the talent to do it, now I just have to show everyone that I can.

How much this career pay, on average, in your location or region?

    A tall, glamorous runway model is every girl’s dream. Long beautiful legs, lean body, and beautiful shiny hair is what an average young woman views as an ideal image for a female. If you don’t resemble the images of those stunning Victoria Secret models and Fashion Week models, you suddenly become ashamed of your own body. It is a great life to have with the high pay, fame, drinking champagne on a yacht with famous celebrities and even being on the Vogue cover page. Fashion Modeling Industry has been the most influential source in our young women’s lives. Young girls and young women are seen eating as little as they can, even starving themselves at times to resemble those models. What they don’t realize is that they are contributing to the 2.7 percentage of 13- 18 year olds suffering from anorexia and bulimia.
