Some of the traits that are most important to me are to be considerate, dependable, easy going, and being opened minded. 1. Why do these words describe you? Provide examples from your experience that Illustrate how each word describes you? Considerate, dependable, easy going, and opened minded, flexibility are all traits that describe me. Being considerate and dependable is something that I do throughout my every day life, with my job, family, friends, and co workers. In my job my employer can depend on me to get the job done. I have a little more realistic goals than I did when I was younger. I have grown up and settled down and realized that becoming a flight attendant is not good for having a family. Being gone all the time would not be very good. My career choice now is out of passion and having a rewarding career that will hep others. I am also looking for a fun career something that gives me the flexibility to do other things. I feel that becoming an academic counselor will open up the doors for me to have both a rewarding and flexible career. 4. Consider your personality traits listed in Question 1. How do these traits compare with those needed for the career of your childhood dreams? How do they fit with your revised, adult view? The personality traits that I selected fit well with the career of my childhood dream. It is important to be dependable as a marine biologist. Not only do your co workers depend on you to be there functioning, the animals also depend on you. Dependability is a good trait to have no matter what career path you have chosen. Being open to change and having new ideas is a good trait to have. I feel that the traits I have chosen fit within my revised, adult view. Considerate, open-minded, dependable, and easy going are all good traits to have as a academic/school counselor. I would imagine that there will be times where my buttons will be pushed and changes will be made where I will need these good quality traits.
