Candidates with desired skills and volunteer experience have increased chances of advancing to the final rounds of interviews. YMCA looks for candidates that are energetic and strive make their communities healthier places to live and work in. YMCA values the Employee and volunteer training and believes that it is not only valuable to the organization but to the employees, volunteers and members. Based on the job role, the training provided are CPR, FirstAid, Swim Instructor and Fitness Instructor trainings. Lifesaving techniques are also taught in mock up scenarios. They invest their resources in the greater causes that are for the benefit of the people and communities. Thirdly, they help create memorable experiences by supporting kids of families that can’t afford to go the camps or participate in recreational activities. I have worked as a volunteer at the Davis Centre, a community home for the seniors’, as a recreation programmer and have always been a supporter of giving back to the community by any means possible.
