There have been many wars in this world but two stand out from the rest. These two wars had a numerous amount of deaths. These wars that caused so much sorrow were the two World Wars. The two are different from each other but they are also very much alike. In this essay the differences of the two wars will be stated as well as the similarities. In the wars there were technology advances, as well as land claimed and lost. Also there were allies in one war and a different ally in the other. There were assassinations to start a war and there were invasions on other countries to start one. Serbia was under Austro Hungarian control and wanted to be freed but they wouldn’t give them up. Then a terrorist organization called the Black Hand took matters into their own hand. As Ferdinand was going down a street in a car with his wife at his side, a member from the Black Hand with the name of Gavrilo Princip was walking down that same street and saw him. Princip acted quickly and killed the archduke.
Austria Hungary immediately declared war on Serbia a month later which caused Russia to declare war on Austria Hungary. In result, Germany declared war on Russia on August 1st, then Germany declared war on Russia's ally France and then they invaded Belgium. England declared war on Germany and Austria Hungary.
There are some more differences from the two wars. In WWI Italy was in the Allied powers unlike in WW2 when they were led by Mussolini. Also in this war there were less deaths than the second war.

The group the black hands is often and quite accurately called responsible for the assassination of archduke ferdinand, though the group had been influenced by Nationalism. The members of this said terrorist group, had been influenced by nationalism through policy that had been inflicted on them by the Austrian-Hungarian empire. The assassination was why Austrian-Hungarian had to go to war against Serbia because it’s an act of breaking their treaty of 1990 with the Austrian-Hungarian empire, but first Austria-Hungary had given them an ultimatum. Which was basically a statement of demands made to Serbia, that if they didn’t abae then Austria-Hungary would attack them. Then all the allied countries with either side joined in as to prove how willing they were to die for their countries, this was true for them a few weeks or so after the beginning of the war when it actually had become more than just allies to either Serbia or Austria-Hungary. Altogether the Nationalism was the cause for the Black hands to essentially commit their crime, and later on to keep the war ongoing....
On June 28, 1914, Franz Ferdinand and his wife were visiting Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, to inspect the army. At the same time, seven young Bosnian Serbs, part of a terrorist group known as the Black Hand, were putting their plan to assassinate Franz Ferdinand, into action. Franz Ferdinand and his wife were in the motorcade when one of the members threw a grenade at it. It missed and instead it it the car behind them. At this point, Franz Ferdinand decided to abandon the visit and return home via another route. However, no one informed the chauffeur and he ended up taking the wrong turn. He drove by Gavrilo Princip, one of the conspirators, who was at the time returning home thinking he had failed. When he saw the motorcade, he realized he still had a chance. Princip pulled out his revolver and shot at both Franz Ferdinand and his wife. They were dead within minutes. The Austrian government was looking for a reason to to send ultimatum to Serbia and they finally had a chance. Serbia refused to comply and Austria declared war. Europe's “long-smoldering feuds” had finally erupted into war.

The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28th was one of the aspects that kick started the war. After the assassination on July 28th, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Just days after war was declared between Serbia and Austria-Hungary, Germany would declare war on Russia and France. Germany and Russia were brought into the war due to Germany’s alliance with Austria-Hungary and Russia’s alliance with Serbia. Germany’s invasion of Belgium would draw Britain into the war.

In conclusion, from the points discussed and analyzed above we can conclude that both World War One and World War Two have several different causes totally unrelated to one another.
Germany, Japan, and Italy now have more debts to pay and also lost much of their territory once again. The war took many lives and also ended up destroying many beautiful cities. World War II showed how not just the soldiers were affected in the war, but everyone in all the different countries were affected by the war. The fact that the result of World War II was affected by the weapons and artillery used throughout shows the importance of weapons and artillery. Without weapons or artillery, there is no war.

These two World Wars caused many harm to life of many people but were fought for the protection of other countries and for the United States. World War was fought for acquiring of land while WWII was fought for the containment of fascism and communism. Each war had different methods of fighting and technology use. Overall these wars caused a lot of unforgettable things such as genocide and scared people everyday’s life. Thought the damages of the war caused much destruction in politics, economics, and social for countries who took part of it, it helped the countries to rebuild and get back to its feet once again.

A limited war has specific goals while a total war involves the entire nation and its destruction. The Vietnam War was a rough time for many soldiers. Memories of home, loved ones, comfort, happiness, a normal life, everything was left behind to do their duties as soldiers. They carried with them many mementos of their life at home; that way they had some kind of life to hang onto to give them the hope and comfort they needed to keep themselves pushing forward. Though, many others have done the same and kept objects to hold onto to remind themselves that there is hope and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Despite the Vietnam War and World War I taking place during different time periods, these two wars are extremely similar because of the way they are presented in history.
