Why We Shouldn T Cell Phones Be Allowed In School

Ring Ring, Buzz Buzz. Someone’s phone may go off in class and can cause a serious distraction to everyone around them. Cells phones in class has been becoming more and more popular over the years. Students are becoming more interested in their phones than they are in class. Teens say “But I need my phone, don’t take it away.” You don’t necessarily need a phone. You can definitely go about 7-8 hours a day without it.

Students check their phones more than 11 times a day. Which therefore means they would check it a ton during school. Students can’t go a normal school day without even checking their phones in their lockers. You see kids sticking their heads inside their lockers, which probably means they are playing on it during school or texting another person.

Cell phones should not be allowed in class during the school day hours because it can cause a distraction, bullying, and cheating.

Others are trying to learn and have a good education but that’s difficult when others are doing something that you believe to be super distracting. An Academy in Winterbourne said that ever since they banned phones in school their exam and test scores have gone up by 6% (Time Article). Which to be honest is a ton. Cell phones are distracting kids in their education. Their test scores are going down while they have them. Even when students are studying they are still constantly distracted by their phones. That’s why phones should be taken away/put away during
