Have you ever wondered why schools never let you have your phone out? Well, did you know that more fifty percent of the world uses their phones for unacceptable purposes? Schools are for students to learn how to do math, read and learn about the world's history. Phones shouldn't be used to do work that was mint for the schoolchild to do because that way the schoolchildren won't learn anything. Schools shouldn't let students have their phones out because they can use it to cheat, cyber-bulling, and texting in class. First of all phones are very distracting in class. Kids are always playing games, Snapshots and Facebook. The phones are good, but also distracting with games, students will be able to play games on their phones, and whenever the teacher looks back which they can change their screen, before the teacher sees it. Another reason that phones are distracting is snapshot. They can be texting a friend instead of doing their work. A third reason that phones are distracting is Facebook. The phone would buzz or make a sound meaning that a notification saying "Eric has just posted a new picture" or "Justin has just posted a comment" like that and this would make students want to stop working and see what it's all about. The student could use Google for help in a history test, for example a student is doing a history test and he or she doesn't know the answer for a question, so the student decides to ask Google and gets the answer and makes a hundred. The students could also use texting for example the student doesn't know the answer so his text a friend to text him back the answer and they both miss the answer. That is why cheating is bad and schools should not be allowed in
Ever since I have been in high school, increasing amounts of people have acquired cell phones. They are causing more disturbances in school because of the cellular devices. Students are using them to harass other individuals. There should be a phone provided for students to make important calls. And lastly, cell phones have even opened new doors for cheaters. There’s really no good reason for a student to use their cell phone during school hours.
Phones cause many distractions. For example, if a kids phone kept going off in class it would distract him from learning the material the teacher was teaching. It could also distract the teacher because the phone which would keep making noises and it would distract the teacher from teaching. Also, if a kid was talking on their phone during class,
Kids should be able to keep their phones out in school because they might need to contact someone out of school. The mayor of New York(Bill de Blasio) changed the policy of having phones in school because
They are considered a distraction because they buzz, vibrate, or worse ring during class distracting everybody around them. It would cause all the students to loss concentration to hear a phone go off during class hours. It would even cause the teachers to get angry and take the phone away. Students would use it to text each other instead of learning cause them to be distracted. They would show some of their classmates funny or cool videos, or images making them get distracted in class from getting any work done.
Cell phones should be prohibited in high school classrooms because they cause many different disruptions, enable cheating, and facilitate Cyber bullying.
Ring, ring, ring. All teens know what that sound means; a cell or text. Teachers know this sound too, because they hear it in their classes every day. Some teachers think that teens shouldn’t have phones, even to help with classwork. The reasons why teens shouldn’t have phones in class is because not everyone is going to get the some data, not everyone will get the right data, and they are too dependent on them.
According to an article on a research study in Social Psychology, if a student even has a phone next to them they have a hard time focusing because they may be waiting for a text (Social Psychology, January 2015). According to the study, students who had their cell phone on their desk (turned off), did 20% worse than students who put their cell phones in another room. Students feel like they have to check the phone constantly to see if they received a notification. This splits student’s attention and prevents them from paying attention in class.
Schools are starting to make a decision on if students should have their phone on in school. It’s a fifty-fifty chance... Which side would you choose? Some students get distracted by having their phone on because when they get text message or social media notifications their first instinct is to go check it and text back. Teacher, Miriam Morgenstern is frustrated with students and their cell phones because the tweeting, snapchatting, and texting is a big distraction and it’s even harder for her to teach.
Why cell phones don't belong in schools Today we are so far in society where we can't get far without our phones which is bad especially in schools because kids are distracted everyday because of their cell phones there start to fall behind because of there phones safety is another one because cell phones are so update with the world you can record things like fight you can instigate and do plenty other things schools can also can be easier well i mean you probably didn't use your brain well what i'm saying is that you can use your phones in schools for cheating which is i'm not surprised because if you can find a easy way out you'll probably do the same thing also you can connect with
Do you think that cell phones are good for you? Guess what, they ARE really good for teaching kids, BUT, there is another side of cell phones. Many schools are still struggling with whether they should have cell phones or not. You have no idea what cell phone is “after you”. Since cell phones are bad for kids’ health, cell phones can make kids lose their trust and it can be a distraction, so, I think that cell phones should be banned from school.
Most people use calculators to cheat when they are working on homework. The next one, I've seen my sister and her friend do before. That is, having a friend or classmate take a picture of their homework so that they can copy it all down.
Today’s cell phone is the front line technology at our fingertips. Keeping this in mind the use of cell phones have become an affair when it comes to allowing teens to use them in educational environments, such as schools. One part of society supports the use of cell phones while the other part of society disapproves the use of cell phones. I personally believe that cell phones should not only be allowed in school, but cell phones should be mandatory just like a textbook. Cell phones do not only allow students to stay united with friends and family, but cell phones are also a magnificent learning system, and they boost the liable use of technology.
If you include the ability to use a cell phone in the classroom, the focus of the scholars will diminish catastrophically. Students will immediately start using these devices when they lose interest in the lesson and look at the cell phone as an outlet of distraction. In doing so, they will ignore the lesson and not retain the vital information they will need to identify to thrive in school. This effect can be observed in Michael J. Berry, and Aubrey Westfall’s article, “Dial D for Distraction: The Making and Breaking of Cell Phone Policies in the College Classroom.” Their research exhibits how using cell phones in the teaching space could decrease a student’s grade, “students who check their phones between seven and eight times per class have a GPA of about a quarter of a point lower than those who report never checking their phone during class” (p. 66). Furthermore, Berry and Westfall’s (2015) data displayed if students look to cell phones every time they lose interest, they could be negatively affected and potentially drop a letter grade. Therefore, cell phones only inhibit a student’s ability to flourish in the

The first reason to support that mobile phones should be banned in schools is that devices can be used to cheating for instance, text friends about answers during a test, take picture of test questions with mobile phones to send to friends, search the internet to answers during a test, and store information on mobile phones to look at during a test. It is suggested by Benenson Strategy Group (2008) indicated that 65 per c...
