Music is not only the combination of different sounds with rhythm but the essence of being and coexist always in time and space. According to Annie Lennox (singer and social activist), music is “a wonderful gift to humanity, [it] moves us, and soothes us. It stimulates. It makes us want to dance or sing. It makes us feel happy or sad, inspired or uplifted” (Lennox, 2017). Just as historical events left a mark in history, so does music. To illustrate this statement, the 80’s music is a perfect example. This decade’s music is still well known by millennials. “More than 26 years after the decade’s final day, clubs have '80s nights, satellite radio boasts '80s channels, and the FM dial offers tunes by Billy Joel, Huey Lewis, and A-Ha” (Sterling, 2016). But, why did the music from this era still so popular?
