University education was never just a simple decision of attend or not attend; it was the stepping-stone from my parents’ expectation to achieving my own life’s goals. My father was born into a poor nomadic family and orphaned at a young age. He worked hard and by the time he was in his early twenties and became the Somali Councilor to Washington D.C and a few years later Ambassador to the United States. I learned that anything is possible epically since I have access to what he didn’t. Why do I want to go to college? My answer is simple i want to help people, I want to legally help people and get them to a better place in life make positive change, and make my dreams and my parents hard work come true. But, going to college is not just for me. It is so I can live to expectations my older siblings and parent’s dreams through me as they had to work for us to be where we are now. I want to go to University so that younger generation that look up to me, for my parents who gave me everything and, most importantly, for myself. …show more content…

Had to wear uniform and be formal which was different than America, Every country and culture is different and it took some adjusting to but I did and I came to enjoy it, when I moved back to America in 2015 after nearly 10 years I found myself having difficulties adjusting to the American system of schooling I found myself doing horrible during my first year at Northern Virginia Community College (Nova) but I eventually came to adjust to the system her in America and began to improve on my grades also I had to adjust to the cultural and social differences between the two
