All schools want to have high academics, and become known for being an outstanding school. As a result, schools have decided to set up cash for grades. Cash for grades is a program that will pay students for good grades. It doesn’t make sense students must not get paid for good grades. Cash for grades is not a good idea because some students lose interest in learning, and become more interested in the money rather than the education. Paying students for their good grades is, an appalling idea due to the fact that there chances for cheating increases highly, it may cause conflict within the teachers and students, and the money may seem like bribery to the students. Paying students is an awful idea due to the fact their chances of cheating increases highly. Students start to cheat off their peers or classmates because they want money too. In addition, it’s not fair for the other students that have good grades because they would be working so hard while they’re being copied by the other students who have lower grades. As a result, the more the learners cheat, the more consequences there would be. That’s why cash for grades is an awful idea. As Peterson said, “Paying students to get good grades doesn’t have any effect.” It does not work in addition, why start a program if it does not work it would be encouraging the adolescents to cheat. …show more content…

Moreover, the teachers get phone calls by the students’ parents complaining or arguing about the students’ grades. There would be several problems. It might cause stress to everyone even pressure to the students; everyone else as well. The parents will be infuriated at the teachers for not rounding up their grades, the parents and students would be furious for not getting the money.
