What is a hero? The word hero is defined as “a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.” I believe this definition is wrong. I think a hero is a person – not specifically a man or woman—but a person in general who does what is right. That would mean that there are billions of heroes on our planet right? There is, but not all heroes are written up in the history books. Some heroes go unrecognized their entire lives. A hero could be your teacher. A hero could be you parents. A hero could be one of your friends who tries their hardest at doing what is right, even when it becomes difficult. The strange thing about a hero is, they make horrible mistakes that could cause harm. However, don’t we all? When some people picture a hero, they might think of a perfect person, but even the truest heroes make mistakes. We are humans, and it is in our nature to mess up at least 100 times a day.
