What I Learned To Learn From High School

As a student, I learned that school gives more than a degree and memories to last a lifetime. Throughout my ongoing experience, I learned that school teaches life lessons, how to become a better person, and how to work hard for an aspiring goal. In a particular class, in which I found my true self, I gained confidence in becoming more than a student in High School, but a leader.
Learning to put others before yourself, making sacrifices, and showing direction was something that I felt was important for leadership. This required me to use a majority of my personal time to lead by example. In the meantime, multitasking with school, work, band and church became a demanding priority. As I also participated in Youth Group weekly, I learned to balance daily activities and time management. With these skills, it was proven that school can really shape someone into a better person, meanwhile educating them all together.

Starting young, I taught myself the piano, and each year started to grow more interest for music. Once I was old enough to participate in a concert band, I quickly picked up the Flute, Clarinet, and Alto Saxophone. I loved learning more about music, and wanted to show the world what I knew and what I could teach them. I started to realize that I learned differently when my closest cousins begged me to teach them a song on the piano. As I tried repetitively, not understanding why they were not comprehending my so thought "simple examples", I developed the idea that I can pick up music without a thought. I discovered that I can listen to a song, and interpret it into the keyboard or keys on an instrument, just by hearing the rhythm once. This blessing not only inspired me to develop more skills within music, but created my path into what I aspire to
