Embodying National Honor Society's Four Principles

Scholarship, character, and leadership, and service are four principles that National Honor Society are based on. I believe that i show all of these qualities through my life in and out of school. Scholarship is Academic study or achievement. I displays scholarship through my school work and grades. I have tried to take the classes that are going to really help me in the real world, not just the ones that are easy or fun. Through high school I have chosen to take electives such as spanish and accounting. I have also opped to take harder classes through high school such as chemistry over physical science, and I even started taking high school math in eighth grade so as a freshmen I was taking sophomore math classes. I have demonstrated leadership through my high school career, especially through my workplace. I am one of the few people in my department that is knows what is going on, what needs to be done, and how to get in done quickly and efficiently. I am also capable of making decisions because my managers are not always there to make them for me. I feel that in school I demonstrate leadership as well. For example in group work I am able to keep track of what is going on while prioritizing what needs to be done when to make sure that the important things get done first. As I enter adulthood this will work to my advantage because leadership skills are important as I enter the workforce. Finally I feel like I show service, which is the act of assistance, through my community service. I helped the school with the school play my freshman and sophomore years, working concession stands whenever I am able to, and helping the technology department at the school over the summer. I also help in other places in the community. For example every year I try to help put on a thanksgiving dinner for those in need with my church. This skill will help me throughout my life because it shows how important it is to help others. I feel that I demonstrate the four principles, scholarship, character, and leadership, and service, which are all important in the selection process of the National Honor Society, and I am proud to even be considered in the selection of students for
