Communication skills is importance in our lives especially in business and education fields. Communication can be defined as the process of sharing information, thoughts and feelings between people through speaking, writing or body language. While effective communication extends the concept to require that transmitted content is received and understood by someone in the way it was intended. (brown, 2015) To understand better about the importance of communication, we must first know the components of effective communication. The first component of effective communication begins with encoding which is the act of transmitting a message in a clear, direct way that allows the receiver to correctly decode your message. After transmitting the messages, there will be another processes which is called as decoding. None of us can live with bottled up feelings. Thus, the basic need to communicate arises, so that one can express. The same logic applies at every workplace, organization or any other place. The need for communication and the ability to communicate helps in developing efficient management, organizational skills, laying down plans, establishing a healthy work culture and resolving impending issues. In an educational field, both teachers and student must have a good communication skills. For teachers, teaching profession demands good communication skill, along with the knowledge of the subject. If they are unable to teach what they know, students tend to be less involved and lose inspiration to learn.
