Ever since we enter grade school, the same questions are always asked of us. “What do you wanna be when you grow up?” that same question then matures to “ what are you going to major in?” etc.. The question that needs to be asked is how are you going to get where you want to be. It involves a lot of planning, dedication and effort to get somewhere that worthwhile. Most importantly effort is needed to accomplish any of these goals. My first present goal Is to do my best and put all my effort into the classes i 'm enrolled in this year. Get the most out of the classes as I can. My second goal is to really be open to new experiences and keep an open mind for everything and enjoy life and live a little. My third goal is to achieve financial freedom not in …show more content…
From my limited experience I know not to buy things I cannot afford and never borrow money for those things. I work at a dealership, and see lots of people buy 60000 plus cars that drop 10% of their value as soon you “own” it. Or just look at how America works we can buy things with money we don 't have and pay it off later if we have the money. I 've had a job since I was 15 and the longest time without one has been 3 months. One way to have financial freedom is to save a lot of your money. This has been a goal in the works for a while. I 've been saving 60% of my paycheck and i would like to up it to 70% for the fact that I live at home and have no bills. this is the time I should save money for the future. I 've been spending money on things i don 't really need and i 'm going to try to focus on only spending my money on gas, food and bills. This is just for the time i 'm in college, I know later in life you have to spend money for a house, emergencies and pleasure etc. At least this way I have a stepping stone into that instead of starting in my
My life experiences thus far bring the best of both worlds to my education and career goals; a student coupled with a variety of life experiences. Being a newly graduated non-traditional student, mother of school-aged children, and experience working with students in the classroom, I bring diversity to your program. Through personal analysis and efforts with other professionals, I have overcome early childhood tragedies. Desiring to make the best use of my experiences by helping others to overcome trauma, and insecure upbringings by conquering these adversities and circumstances positively. Through my example of grit, tenacity, resilience, and perseverance, I hope to offer much to the students in my role as their mentor.
I am Stuart Keith from your B-day third block AP English 12 class, and I am looking forward to a great senior year in your class. This year, I am planning on dual enrolling in AP English in addition to taking the AP exam in May. My goals for this school year include maintaining straight A's as I have throughout my entire high school career, get into college, and fix my studying and procrastinating problems. After high school, I want to attend college and intend on majoring in civil or mechanical engineering. In school my strongest subject is math. Meanwhile, I have found that I struggle the most in English because I procrastinate when reading books and need to improve my writing. The one thing that worries me the most about this year is the
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
One goal is I want to see what I am capable of. I have a terrible habit where I doubt myself, and that doubt sometimes leads me missing out on life changing opportunities. There’s a saying that goes, “Doubt kills more dreams than future ever will” which really emphasizes how doubt is what makes us runs away from our hopes, goals, and dreams. It is something that makes us terribly afraid to try something new or make an effort with things. However, I truly want to not run away from that doubt, but to be able to overcome it. Even though I may be doubtful at times, I am full of determination to pursue excellence and strive to do my best in everything. For example, I want to see how great I can make my education be in high school. I have a strong connection and commitment when it comes to learning because it’s always a joy and experience when it comes to knowing new things. I believe that knowledge is one great element in life where it leads to the highest success, and it can only be acquired one way through diligence and effort. When it comes to my education, I make sure to not take it for granted and to never give up, even if it may feel brutal at times. In my opinion, I care what I learn and put towards my education rather than the grade given since with all the effort and work I put towards to what I am told, the grade follows. However, that does not mean that I am careless about my grades. I greatly cherish school and can be an example towards others at Rocky Mountain when it comes to setting academic goals and aspiring all the knowledge I want in my education. I want to influence others to make an effort when it comes to their education and see what they’re capable of. That’s why whenever I look at teachers, I see that they are sharing the gift of new traits for our education, for our futures in life. When looking at those apart of the National Honor Society, I noticed that they have
My my personal goals are to get a 27 on my ACT, have a above a 2.8 GPA, and get a basketball scholarship to ORU. I need to jump into college with alacrity.I plan on reaching these goals by working hard and really focusing in all of my classes every single day and making sure I make enough time in my week to study for all my tests I take. Even if I have antipathy for a class I still need to be inquisitive and ask questions.
It's unbelievable how each year, since the beginning of high school, my perfectly laid plans for myself have unavoidably deteriorated. When I entered my freshman year, I had aspirations of being a doctor (something I had wanted to be since I was a child). Now, here I am entering my senior year in high school without any idea of what I want to do. Now seems to be the time to start taking life seriously and making responsible, educated choices.
College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college. With college I will further my business career, making more successful in the field I enjoy doing.
First off, I want to graduate from college and do it well. I want to be able to do things on the weekends and not worry about having to make things up or anything like that. I am hoping for a scholarship in football, in my opinion that would be a great start for me in college. Then after college maybe pursue that as a career. If that doesn't work out for me then I want to look into athletic training or physical therapy. If those things don't interest me or I don't get into it I am then looking into law. That will take much more time and patience, but it's gonna be the rest of my life.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
All your life growing up, you don 't have to make any big decisions. This all changes senior year when you have to make a decision about what you are going to do with your life after high school. What you choose to do can dictate how you spend your time and money. If you do not make a choice you will not be able to move on towards being a self supporting adult. Decisions are hard to make but essential to keep moving forward.
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
When planning for our future it is important to have clear goals in mind and to understand the steps that need to be taken to achieve those goals. My long-term goal is to run my own counseling center and employee at least one other person. Some Skills I already possess that will allow me to succeed with this plan are my ability to relate to people and be consistent in following the steps needed, even though it will be a long and tedious process.
We do live in a bigger home than usual for people with my parent’s income together, but it was something they could afford at the time they bought it. My parents are great people and I love them so much, my mother just has bad credit so all of my loans right now are in my name. I see that I am incurring a debt and interest everyday because of school loans. But I do not have a credit card and that is something I know if I had, I would get in trouble with. I took personal finance in high school and that is when I learned the difference between a debit card and a credit card. That opened my eyes so much more in what financial maturity looks like. I was able to figure out how to write a check and keep up with a checkbook, I learned about how babies are expensive, and about debt. I have learned that like my mother if I have a credit card I am going to get in trouble. This why I only have a debit card and both of them are closed cards (I believe there might be another term for this). It is when I run out of money; I cannot overdraft my account and occur an extra debt over the amount owed. That is so my card will automatically decline when I run out of money. This is good so I don’t get myself into trouble, and so it shows me that I need watch my
Achieving any goal requires self-discipline. It involves a conscious awareness of our actions and the ability to overcome some of the bad habits that might be holding us. Instilling self- discipline into our lives is not easy task.
