Sir Elton John is a singer, songwriter, and composer, one of the most successful in modern era. Born on March 25, 1947, in Pinner, Middlesex, England. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, but quit to pursue his musical career. Elton John established a charitable organization to help those who are fighting against AIDS and has received several special honors. Elton then revealed that he was bisexual in an interview in Rolling Stone. At this time Elton decided to release less albums and cut back on touring.

Tumbleweed Connection was released in January of 1971 and got into the Top Ten albums. Following his first hit later came other really good songs such as “ Crocodile Rock”, ” Daniel”, “ Bennie and the Jets” and “ Island Girl”. These albums were Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Don’t Shoot Me I’m Only the Piano Player and Rock of the Westies. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is perhaps one of the best rock albums out there. In 1972 he released the album “ Honky Chateau”, making it his first American number one album and at the top of the charts for consecutive weeks. On the amazing album of Honky Chateau include the songs “ Honky Cat” “ Rocket Man” and “ Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters” in 1972. In the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road included a song he wrote about a female actress named Marilyn Monroe, the song “Candle in the Wind” in 1973. Elton John co-wrote John Lennon’s number one single “ Whatever Gets You Through the Night”, they both made a deal where John Lennon would join Elton onstage at Madison Square Garden on Thanksgiving Day in 1974.
