The research study was conducted at Westbrook Park Elementary School located in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. Westbrook Park is a public elementary school in Upper Darby Township with a student population of 472 students. The student population consisted of 48 % Caucasian, 42% African-American, 6 % Asian, 4% Asian/Pacific Islander. The teacher to student ratio is 15:1 with 44% of students receiving subsidized lunch.
The sample consisted of three elementary school teachers, fifteen parents and thirty students from two third grade classrooms. The ages of the students ranges from 8 thru 10. All 3 teachers held master’s degree in education and have teaching experiences on an elementary level of over ten years. Sampling Methods

Teachers, parents and students all signed informed consent form. Student and teacher surveys were administered during a regular class session. Students were instructed to complete surveys thoroughly and to the best of their knowledge. They were further told to ask for clarification if they had questions. The time range for survey completion was between 30 and 45 minutes. Parent surveys were emailed to their attention for completion and to be returned within a three day period. Interview sessions were scheduled two days after surveys were administered. Teacher’s interviews were held in the school’s conference room. Each interview was 45 minutes to an hour. Due to busy parent schedule, interviews were scheduled around their time. 8 parents requested to participate in a Skype interview session as oppose to meeting face to face.
