They are also associated with many traditions, and with each the four elements that are earth, air, fire, and water The Watchtowers are normally evoked during casting a circle to aid power and protact it also, the name Watchtowers may refer to the homes of the Guardians, with the guardians referred to as the Watchers or as the Guardians

Usually the person faces the corresponding direction while calling the watchtowers or the four corners. That seems to be one of the more popular ways to cast the circle modern Wiccans
