Visual Analysis What is the first thing image that comes to mind when somebody says education? Education and learning can be depicted in an almost infinite number of ways, in "Scenes and Un-Scenes: Looking at Learning", education is depicted in few completely different ways, from a classroom full of children to a woman home schooling a group of small and older children. This brings upon the idea that there is no set idea when it comes to education and learning, that everything is experienced as an individual. Learning and education have such a huge impact on human development and life in general.
The first image of children in desks lined up before a teacher was the image that I mostly identified with because it was what I had grown up with in school. I feel like the author really used pathos because, a lot of people, like myself grew up in the environment where there were students lined up in rows in front of a teacher, and the interactions that followed. In that setting the learning that took place were more groups learning than one on one, which is the opposite of the picture depicting home schooling. I never realized how many variables there were when it comes to all the different ways people learn and get an education. I was raised with public school from pre-school and high school and it is what I am most accustom to, but learning about what else can go into education changed my perspective. The fact that other countries can take education a completely different way made me think about the effectiveness of one type of learning to the other. I feel like people need to think more about how education works and the factors that play into it, while keeping an open mind to new methods or tactics towards learning that may
