The United states is a very well-known country with over 357 million people. The United States has grown over the years in population and as a country all together. Some might say that Greece and Rome contributed a lot on how we run the United States.This often relates to politics, sports, architecture and many more. They have helped the United states become a strong nation as a whole and here are some examples how.

One way Greece and Rome contributed to the United States is through politics. In Document 5 and 10 it states “the concept of democracy, or rule by the people, was first developed by ancient greece”. In Document 6 it states “ To rule such a large area, the romans created a code of laws that many nations still use today. What follows are some principles, or basic rules, that the romans developed.” Having laws and creating them is a huge part on having a strong government and country. Since the United States already established their government they needed to decide how it would be runned. We used the idea of having laws to protect citizens and making sure everyone has equal rights before the law. The 3 branches would come into play with creating laws and people who would help represent. Often having a system of checks and balances to make sure not one of them had to much power than the other. Having Laws in the United States would make sure everyone was safe and people who broke the law would have punishment for what they did so they could no longer do it again. If these laws were not created the country would have one person with so much power that he or she could use to their ability for money and fame.
