What is sufism?
Sufism is a deviant sect of islam in which the people try to experience a reunion with God (called mystism). And for attaining this state they limit themselves to monasteries or any isolated places far from the people, as their ultimate goal is union with god.
The followers of Sufism are called ‘sufis’ and they compose as well as sing musically in order to show their love to Allah(swt).
The name ‘sufi’ is derived from their followers usually wearing woolen garments and discarding all worldly materials and desires.

What are their ideals or the tariqa ?

The pagan practices as saint worship, sacrifice to saints and holding venerance to their shaiks overtook the orthodox practices of islam and had no real resemblance to the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Other prominent leaders were: Rabia Al Adawiya, was the first female muslim sufi saint,
Mansoor Al Hallaj, who was executed for his sufi teachings in the Abbasid caliphate,
Al Jjunayd , he was a central figure in the formation of the doctrines of Sufism, Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari :The Naqshbandi Tareeqah owes it’s name to him.

How Sufism is deviant from mainstream sunnah? ^-In terms of Beleif
The Sufists’ only goal consists of claims to love Allah (swt) and unite with him through music, dance, meditation and isolation. While Allah(swt) says he’s closer to us than our jugular vein and just calling or praying him is sufficient to answer our prayers , the sufists try to unite with the Supreme Allah by various methods, which is against islam and nowhere practiced by the Prophet ﷺ.
