The question of early education should be investigated and controlled on the arrange level because it has a very important impact on the economy, social structure and cultural level of different countries. Educators can facilitate the children with different material and environment in the classrooms that are in the early learning centers. The children need to develop their minds cognitively. “Children actively construct knowledge as they manipulate and explore their world” (Berk 2007). Children need to expand their abilities through their play experiences, and also through their fun experiences, they can develop correctly. Early youth education plays a large part in a child's early development. It is mainly dealing with children ages 4-5 the goal of Early Childhood is to help and teach students who first time learners. It provides an education for per-kindergarten children in our country that is provided in a variety of settings. Dr. Seuss wrote, “You’re off to great places. Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting. So get on your Way”. The role of the early childhood educator, while rewarding, can sometimes feel as is you are climbing a mountain. Educators have to consider how to implement curriculum, instruction, management, and technology in the classroom. Educators also have to provide an environment where all children feel safe and nurtured. When creating a course of action, educators have to consider their role as well as the role of the student, parent, and community.
Preschool education, according to Magnuson, Meyers, Ruhm and Waldfogel (2004), refers to an education program provided by kindergartens and child care centres, which is offered during the earliest years of childhood at age of 2-6, ending upon the entry of primary school. Most of the parents in the society may think that the early childhood education program can enhance the learners’ academic performance such as reading and writing abilities while others may oppose it believing early education scheme may discourage the mental development of children in different areas like cognitive development, emotional and behavior controls (Barnett, 2008). Despite the improvements of the language proficiency, the mental development may be more important than the results in school since the psychological growth may affect the whole life of the learners. A learner may be harmed from the drawbacks such as weakened on the cognitive development like creativity and imagination on receiving early education plan. This essay aims to investigate the drawbacks of preschool education scheme by analyzing preschool education and moving on to mention the advantages and disadvantages such as literature capabilities and mental maturity respectively. This essay will end with a short conclusion that preschool education may bring negative consequences to the early learners.
This case study will examine Klara’s biosocial, cognitive, and psychosocial development. The Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) was utilized to observe Klara’s development. A DRDP is an established tool used to advance the quality of early care and educational programs in California (DRDP). Each domain of the DRDP is analyzed by the measures of, “exploring,” “developing,” “building,” and, “integrating.”
Early Learning The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the issue of preschool to determine if children who participate in structured preschool programs are more successful in kindergarten or first grade. There are a few types of preschool programs. First, there are structured preschool programs that focus on emphasizing an actual school setting and classroom activities in order to prepare the child for kindergarten or first grade. There are also day care centers, which are not as structured as preschool centers.
Teachers are major learning resources in a young child’s life. “Teaching young children is one of the most important and most difficult of educational jobs.” (Edwards, Knight, 1). With these things in mind, how effective are early childhood learning programs? What are their purposes? Through this research paper all of these questions and more will be answered. We will review the purpose of each program and it’s effects on the students. The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the effectiveness of early childhood learning programs with respect to the long-term academic achievement of those students who attend the early childhood programs.
The Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework underpins early childhood teachers to work in collaboration with families to support children and embrace diversity. According to Fenech M 2013, quality early childhood education improves brain development and enhances children’s future in life through social experience (Fenech M 2013). The Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework aims to create quality early childhood education through the practice principles for learning and the development and learning outcomes which guide early childhood teachers. The Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework acknowledges that each child learns at different paces. The learning and development outcomes support each child as an individual and are inclusive of all learning styles and approaches working collaboratively with families “…to build continuity across early years’ settings and programs for children from birth to eight years” (State of Victoria Department of Education and Training, 2017, p17). Coming back to the Un Conventions on the rights of a child we know that a child has a right to an education which develops them to their full potential (Convention on the Rights of the Child: Australian Human Rights Commission, 2017).
During the early years, children go through crucial development stages, and continuous, quality early childhood education can have a lasting, valuable effect on the overall development of children. High-quality early childhood development programs that offer developmentally adequate curricula, allow children to formulate specified cognitive skills at the suitable age. Developmentally adequate curricula assist in the development of cognitive skills which help them acquire new skills and knowledge. Preschool provides children the opportunities to take part in activities they wouldn’t typically do at home such as arts and crafts, science activities, sand and water play and music and movement. These activities can enhance children's’ lives, increase their development and supply them with the tools they need for the future.

Now there are development standards defined and expectations of a child as a whole. The development standards define the milestones a child should pass by a certain age. These milestones are basically “what children should know and be able to do”. (Shala 7). Because of this early childhood development’s main goal is to thoroughly progress a child’s potential in their social, motor, and cognitive development. (“Early” 1). While development itself is made up of changes in the amount of difficulty attempting certain activities and acquiring skills, gradual movement from basic to complex adjustments in learning, and gaining new ways to move one's body. (Damovska et al 13). For this reason it has become dire for programs to exist that are aimed at younger groups of children so that their mental and social development may continue on track. (“Early” 1). While their level of behavioral unde...
From the perspective I have at this stage in my journey in the early childhood education field, I would like to share what I have come to value and believe in regards to early learning and care by looking at my philosophy statement. To begin we will look at the statement and highlight three key features and find out why they are important to me, then we will see what they will look like in my practice, and lastly we will examine these ideas closely by looking at where they originated. By taking an in-depth look at my philosophy statement we will better understand the motivation behind my practice which I hope to continue to refine and refresh as I gain more knowledge and experience.
Curriculum is the organized framework that explains the content that children are to learn, the processes through which children achieve the identified curricular goals, what teachers do to help children achieve these goals and the context in which teaching and learning occur. The best curriculum for early childhood teacher is developmentally appropriate curriculum that allows teachers to set-up an effective learning environment for children.
My thoughts and view about early childhood education on how children learn and many other things that come with it. Children can learn by playing in other words learning from what they can and cannot do while they are playing. Learning can also be social and by doing; for instance children can do something their own way and see somebody else doing it another way and they might want to do it that same way as another child did. Or a child can learn something on their own with no help from another child. Or there can be stages of which a child can go through while they are growing up. And throughout those stages a child can go through different developments and gain, but also have lessons to each stage they are going through in life. But also

Those who support children in starting school at an early age, claim early childhood education is of critical importance during a child’s early developmental period. They believe it is important for early social interactions, play, and learning among peers to be best ingrained early on in a child’s youth. Gunilla Dahlberg, a psychologist specializing in childhood education, wrote a book on the success and factors that play into success a child will have in their education. In Dahlberg’s chapter, “Constructing Early Childhood”, he talks about factors
The modern early childhood curriculum refers to the experiences gathered throughout a child’s infancy and beyond. It incorporates everyday interactions with family members within a wide spectrum of environments. Such interactions can be spontaneous or structured however, it is important that they are established within a supportive, safe and nurturing setting in order for the child to flourish in terms of their mental and physical ability ( O’Hagen, and Smith (1998). We refer to such a curriculum as Child centered as equal emphasis must be made on the child’s learning through out infancy as it is within a formal education setting.
