Creativity is as crucial to the future of humans as medicine and other forms of research. As the creativity around the world has decreased, something must be done. Creativity is the ability to discover and advance in new topics and territories,as the board of education in Windham, classes in creativity should be implemented to improve the creativity levels at least in the future of the U.S. Creativity is not a trait easily acquired and used by all people. As the Board that defines and paves the way for education in Windham, creativity should heavily be taken into account. According to Bronsen and Merryman from Newsweek.com, a great decrease in creativity has occurred since 1990. This decrease can’t go unnoticed and without action if a successful and safe future is to be insured. Some of the most important discoveries worldwide are the ones considered groundbreaking. Such discoveries involve solutions to long time conflicts or new inventions that increase efficiency in a certain area of life. To only acquire knowledge without creativity is similar to getting a set of useful tools, maybe even with basic instructions, but not knowing how to use the tools to their full potential. Education is about teaching students to reach their full potential in whatever topic or subject they end up pursuing, which is why a class in creativity is essential to include in the daily academic schedule of Windham Public Schools. Such a task must be take on by the Board of Education to take a step forward in a decision that could improve a natural trait that by research is shown to be struggling.
