My career research paper is about Musicians, because I want to be a musician. I cannot go a day without music, either singing it myself or listening to it. Every time I hear a song, I just want to sing along, even if I don't know the words. Being a musician would be a lot of work, I am aware, but it would be worth it because I would be pursuing a career that I will enjoy doing for the rest of my life. There are three main sections that branch off of being a musician: Education, which includes: Music teacher, private vocal instructor, band director, etc; Non-Professional. Which includes: small bands, singers just starting out, choir people, vocal students; and Professional, which would be considered ‘stars’. Not everybody makes it being the next big thing in music, but all music that we make changes the world in some way or another.
A musician can be somebody who plays one or more instruments, or sings in a group such as a chorus or choir. A musician can also sing as a soloist, perform in front of an audience, or they can just record their music to be sold. Another form of being a musician is being a music teacher, in which they can teach publicly or privately. They can organize a choir, chorus, or band. Every musician typically excels in one specific genre of music, which could be jazz, pop, rock, blues, country, rap, etc. (“Musicians and Singers”)
Music and the need for music has been around almost since the beginning of time, but just in this century, there has been many changes to music and how its made. Starting in the 1900s, the common music genre were ballads and religious music, although a new type of music was creeping up from the south, ragtime. Being a musician can be hard. This career is very much in demand, and with not much education needed, almost anybody can do it. But there will always be a need for music, all around the world, so this career is secure as long as you can find work. unemployment on average for all types of musicians is only 5%, so it is unlikely to be unemployed unless you don't take your job seriously and miss practice and recordings.
The career of music varies from teachers, private vocal coaches, orchestras, professional singers, and many more. But one thing is clear, I want to delve into the world of the music and spend my life performing or teaching. There will always be a demand for music, so this career is endless in opportunities. A person doesn’t have to be a professional singer with a contract to make a difference in music; anybody can.
