The right words with the right sound can move a person emotional. The plans of writing songs, producing the work, and eventually becoming an artist has been a dream. Any career or goal will always be a challenge to achieve, especially in the career of music. The type of knowledge and skills develop through this process is the mistakes that will happen and how to learn from them and the passion put into this career. It’s not easy it can take days just to find the right words to create a song, or the perfect drum that will go with the beat in the music. It takes time and patience, but with hard work eventually everything will pay off.
There has been artist who has been through the process to make their music, but depends which way to do it. One option is to get sign to a record deal, another choice is to sign an independent deal, or production deal, etc.… it mostly depends on the type of artist. For the past years, the record companies were in control of the artist and their music. Independents artist had a choice to create their own music the way they wanted, but did not have the power nor the high amount of money to get their music widely known unlike the record companies. I have experience of recording, producing beats, and writing music except they never were combine all together. There is a huge difference between the Writing in my own country and that in American. As an international student, I have to balance this culture shock. During one year in global pathway, I definitely have learned a lot about how to be a good writer and reader. All these responsibilities require ability in music, some experience , combined with a thorough knowledge of music and music theory. It also requires music and sound production in a recording studio along with a key sense of listening. Some music producers work for record labels producing for recording artists under a contract which has very exact wantings for that artist. And while many are full-time employees, others are self-employed. Which means they must also have experience in running a business.
I propose that all unsigned rising artist should target the business side of the music industry to be successful in the entertainment business because it allows the artist to be taken seriously and make solid connections that can further his/her career. Learning the works of the music industry also enables a new artist to be further successful and profitable. Recent studies show that most new artists without professional representation and a business mindset have a slimmer chance in getting signed to major or independent labels (Lowry, 2011). Overall, the specific change needed is that unsigned artists should be concentrating on their careers as professionals and not amateurs, thus focusing on the ins and outs of the music business and how they can obtain success, generate profit, and endure longevity.

There is a famous phrase by Victor Hugo that says, “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.” There are many genres of music and everyone has their own preferences in what they listen to and why. Sometimes the music that one listens to is dependent on what one is feeling like at that current moment because we tend to agree with the quote and believe that music has the ability to express emotions. The job of an artist is to create music that leaves an impact on the listener, and they work to express emotions in the words and the notes used because it is through them that listeners identify themselves. Just as music has the ability to express ones emotions and portray that which we are feeling but do not say, it also has the power to influence other aspects of life apart from emotions. Music has long been used as a method in which students learn in school and studies have shown that listening to music has the ability to help influence academic levels and progress for children who experience a social setback, as well as mental development and social skills.
There are a lot of styles in dance and I do all styles but my favorites are hip-hop and contemporary. Even though they are both completely different I have a love for both of them. Hip-hop is more fun and energetic and contemporary I feel like I can express my self more. For contemporary I need to take some acro and contortion classes because I need to be flexible enough to do splits and backbends. Dancing makes me feel like I can do anything.

There are so many ways that music comes in handy on a daily basis. For example, some people like to listen to music while driving down the road, while others only like to listen to music in their free time. The three most popular genres of music are classified as rap, rock, and country.
When artists listen to music they use, “reduced listening,” which means they listen to the tone and pitch of the beat and the instruments, they also think about the feelings and mood being used to make the song. For example, if they are making a beat they start off with a drum for instance they need to think whether they want this song to be an upbeat, happy or a sad, upsetting song. They need to incorporate feelings into the song so that when people are listening to it they can relate to the song as well.

For a year, I danced to polka music every night. I was a preschool student at the time, and after a long day of coloring and napping, I would cut loose on the dance floor that was my living room. I would often put an expression of awe on our parents’ faces with the physical absurdities I was capable of. It felt as though every facet of my life as a toddler was brought together in these moments, and the music perfectly represented this phase of my childhood. While this emotional agreement with a piece music was somewhat coincidental, the result is something that I have consciously pursued throughout my life.
As I sum up my thoughts on how my first foray into the music education profession affected my teacher leadership ability, I must restate that I was bless to not have received an easier placement for my first job.
